It's not a cops and robbers MUD and it is not similar to shadowrun, to my knowledge.

I am developing a Scifi MUD using the Evennia codebase. Some of you may remember that I referenced this project before but had decided to table it. Well I am deciding to pursue it now and thus hell or highwater it will be completed.
Why does this matter to you?
If you are a player then it likely won't be relevant for at least a year (at the earliest).
Why are you bringing it up?
I have a clear vision for the game, an understanding of python, and now a committed head coder. What I need is experienced staffers/players that are willing to have ideas bounced off of them and are also willing to bring up things that may be overlooked in development.
I am interested.
Then PM me or contact me at Religiousbum (AIM) or Religiousbum (Skype) and you too can be occasionally asked your opinions and thoughts on MUD design topics!
EDIT - Just to clarify this isn't asking for staff volunteers. This is basically me asking for people who are willing to randomly IM me ideas/concerns they think are beneficial to a MUD project and are not going to get angry at me for randomly IMing them with various questions that I am looking for some feedback on.

ATV were virtually wiped out. When I was first joining Tuluk there was an ATV that actually lived with the Akai Sjir, one of two. During the deluge their camp was destroyed or whatever and the tribe was dying out and I knew the last PC ATV. So by story standards this would be like the Red Fangs re-emerging. Still like that it's happening, but the staff did 'wipe them out' prior to this.

I welcome this change which will add more grit to Tuluk and more PVP to those wilds. Now all they have to do is open gith tribes right outside Allanak and we can begin the era of small scale raiding RP.

Breaking my own rule about dropping a thread, but the level of stupid coming off Kronibas is painful.
I called that hotline and I spoke to them and I laid out 3 examples both in MUD, RP chatroom, and MMO (like WoW) and asked some clarifying questions to be sure. They said specifically that it was not child enticement. Is it something else? Maybe? Is Kronibas an idiot that is just spouting whatever supports his rage boner in this thread, yes.
1. RPing sex with a minor (example: Bob ass rapes a 12 year old) <---- Considered Child Enticement
2. RPing sex with the OOC intent of finding a minor partner (example: Bob gives the 50 year old grandma a good time.... OOC: Are you under 18? Yes? Good?) <---- Considered Child Enticement
3. RPing sex, cybering, and even co-operative fanfiction writing are not considered child enticement in an anonymous environment.
So then it becomes do you believe Kronibas or me more? Or do you not care, you shouldn't care because when I finished the call they're like did you want to report something or is that all you were asking? I'm like do you think I should? They're like no.
TLDR - I'm right, Kronibas is wrong, you decide, I'm double dog done.

If you're in the north, hunting carru or being to close to Grey Forest Kryl is pretty easy way to die. You could also file a request complaining about how unfair your death was as a smokescreen. If you're in the south, going to red storm to buy spice or sell gear means easy death to beetles.
You could also linkdead near a beetle or carru and come back 5 min later claiming your net dropped.

I'm all for crucify in arm in the court of public opinion but only when there is a basis for responsibility. I called the number, I gave them three examples and three clarifying questions. Hey posting from phone at lunch. I did call that number you provided. Picked option four and spoke to Kim. Mom's and arm are not enticement. They said there had to be a theme of child see to the covering or that the adult was knowingly getting a minor to cyber. Bet you didn't think anyone would call huh?

Kronibas you are literally blowing my mind. Here are 2 potential situations...
1) You believe a MINOR is/has/will be mentally or emotionally harmed by sexual RP with an adult on ARM. You should contact the authorities if you believe a MINOR is endangered in such a way. We're talking about sexual abuse of a minor here.
2) You don't want to get anyone in trouble but want to leverage the very serious nature of underaged sexual abuse to make your point that the ARM staff shouldn't be micromanaging how players play because they should be protecting underaged kids (who don't tell anyone they're underage) from having sexual textbased relations with other players.
Which is it Kronibas? Do you sincerely believe minors are at risk or are you just trying to say the staff should be more worried about whether minors play than whether we spamcraft a bow 100 times in a day?

I have a better point. Kronibas, contact the authorities and if they give you even an ounce of serious consideration and bother contacting the ARM staff to investigate. I will take back my statement that this is throwing shit against the wall until something sticks.
We're all waiting. Contact the authorities or you're letting the next 14 year old get horribly abused by knowing pedos on ARM who definitely know those people are underage and are typing at them, knowingly.
EDIT - The server has a runlog that goes back X amount of time depending on how they store it so all the 'evidence' you'd need would be on their own server even!

When someone is playing a game, the onus is not on them to police the other players to ensure they are supposed to be playing that game. In addition the onus is not on the staff to police the players either. If you truly believe that adding "Mature Content Warning" to the ARM login screen or homepage is the answer then you don't care about the problem.
They add mature content 18+ warning. An underage player still plays. The same thing still happens. Now who is at fault?
EDIT - At what point is the blame on the underage player or their parents? Never? Always? Who cares?
DOUBLE EDIT - Someone kills someone after tattooing a Tuluki shadow artist ink on themselves and babbles about how they insulted the Sun King. Should we arrest the staff as promoting violence with their text based game?

This discussion both cheapens the entire board with its goal and proves to anyone who would claim we're all just circlejerk agreeing with each other that we don't support all negative opinions of ARM.
Simplified Version - This thread is an example of throwing accusations against the wall until something sticks.
