Did they really change c-elf's wisdom? Because each time I've played elves and placed wisdom first it was always a pretty high score. Yes, they did. It used to be that city elves could skill up incredibly fast before staff opted to tweak their wisdom to be more in line with the world. At least, this is what I remember. Delerak? |

If you gave them city hide and sneak they would ROCK and people would play them more. Warriors, rangers, mages, OMG mages.

And a steal skill capped at like 60 is worthless. Even moreso without peek. This is also why the thief subguild is only good for giving city stealth to rangers, which is kind if ridiculous by the way.

Thief is a great subguild for rinthers. Let's you pick fights without playing a murderous psychopath. You just can't use it to steal in the city proper.

Their wisdom used to be way higher. Agility AFAIK hasn't changed. People just don't know what they're talking about. City-elf wisdom was their only good thing, the only race that could get 250 mana etc with AI wisdom. I used to goof around and roll AI wisdom c-elves and max my skills in about 48 hours. |

Yeah, they must definitely have changed it because I think the last elf mage I had with extremely good wisdom or close was like 120 mana tops.

150 was standard on elves wisdom average. ai wisdom yielded 200+

That must have been a really long time ago. I don't remember that being the case at any point while I played, although it was about a year before I made my first elf. By then, elves with high wisdom had 120-130ish mana, and that'll have been in like 2006 or something.

this is 97-98? They changed the elf wisdom around 2000-2001 I think? We talked about it at the APM briefly.
