I don't disagree with you dude. I'm saying that as an elf (desert or city here is irrelevant) if they moved to the city for whatever reason, difficulty surviving, competition over resources etc, they'd rely on thievery. Again, because they're elves.
I don't disagree with a single thing you said.
My purpose in this discussion is to explain why a city elf wouldn't enter the desert and why coding them as one race is not essential.

Gameplay > 'Realism' so yes if delves are to codedly powerful to entrust to noob and you want an elven option open, you make some contrived reason for celves to not have the coded benefits of delves or...
The issue is the staff could have taken a different tact and distinguished the elves more thoroughly than the documentation already does or made city elves halfbreeds altogether and made them halfbreed tribes. That would have been a good separation.

The one teeeeeny tiny thing I'm disagreeing with you on is you're saying that elves moving to the city would have to fall back on thievery. I'm saying that they'd never have to rely on it because of anything, but rather because stealing is inherently part of their nature. In other words, it wouldn't be a decision they arrive at conciously -- it's part of their mindset. Mentality. I also don't have documentation to back me up on this, but I seem to remember a staff member saying years ago elves slowly grew apart after a few tribes slowly moved into the cities for trade. Unfortunately some tribal documentation may conflict with one another, so there's also that to take into account as well. And just to clarify, I don't necessarily think city elves should be allowed to ride mounts. If there was ONE thing I could change about city elves, it'd be to give them the ability to run in ANY urban environment without losing stamina. Please take note that I'm not going all 'Kronibas' like Delerak did recently (no offense, love you Del. You too Kronibas, put some Aloe Vera on your butthurt ass and just come back already!). What I mean to say is I only took issue with two things you said. Perhaps I'm not explaining myself clearly enough, and if that's the case, I think I'll go ahead and stop -- I've already crossed the threshold into "obsessed" territory. You know what, on second thought: I think I understand what you're trying to say when you discussed city elves relying on thievery. I suppose the "couldn't hack it under the sun" part irked me so bad I had to right the perceived injustice and come to the defense of my sharp-eared brethren (I was too lazy to delete my thoughts and saw fit to add this instead, blow me).

I think that if they were allowing city elves to ride while d-elves are still forbidden to do so it would already improve the c-elf condition by 10000000000000000x.

C-Elves are a great way to earn Karma. 1: Never ride a mount. 2: Never fuck a human/breed. 3: Try to steal. Have Stealing thoughts and feels. 4: Distrust all outside your tribe.
Since your tribe isn't coded, they are virtual. Maybe earn some karma for Roleplay? RP preparing food for your virtual tribe? RP getting flowers for your mama and toys for your baby brotha.
When you send in reports attach logs of interactions with the VNPC family. Disclose XYZ amount of sid spent on them. Do this for 6 months, walk into the sea of silt. request your notes. Use karma and roll a magicker elf for the next six month.
At the end of the year, request notes again. By now you should have enough for a drovian.

I think in more than a decade of playing Armageddon, I've met and played with one celf at length, that I would even so much as piss on if he were on fire.

Celves have a goddamn ton of issues, and every time someone suggests a fix, some people cry 'but what about the rp/opness/realism or some shit.'
Fine, fixing celves is hard and takes lots of things in consideration. I'm sure it takes over a year of work to create a tribe(I wrote my docs in two days! To days!), but the one thing that has no excuse of any kind is celf wisdom's lowness
Does anyone here know why exactly it is so low? Low str/endurance for higher agility/wisdom already is kindof a shitty tradeoff, but when even that wisdom thing gets slashed.. I have no idea why that would be considered a good idea.

And yes. Much like aides and gickers, if you're willing to waste a RL year of your life, living a false existence like some episode of The Americans, celves can be karma bait.

Yep, if you're playing for acceptance/respect/accolades and not for fun, you're doing it wrong.

Does anyone here know why exactly [wisdom] is so low? It was gamebreaking, according to staff.

Did they really change c-elf's wisdom? Because each time I've played elves and placed wisdom first it was always a pretty high score.

If you play any race and prioritise wisdom you'll get a high score. I'm saying here that an elf's exceptional, average, or poor wisdom differs only veeeeery slightly from a human's.
