First picture, she's 12, next picture, she's in her mid to late thirties. She lives in a third world country as a primitive gardener, and had no idea how popular her picture was. ... If you have a decent to good looking canvas and you let it wear and get smeared with grime, you still have a decent canvas underneath it. And if you actually take the time and effort to roleplay out cleaning yourself off to emulate the cleanliness of a higher caste I was offering an interpretation, not a personal stance. But I have to point out youre arguing about cleanliness. We were talking about damage and discoloration, something your after picture demonstrates.

We were talking about damage and discoloration, something your after picture demonstrates. If you look at the video on her, you can tell that it's not actual damage or discoloration. It's dirt smeared across her face in the after picture. I couldn't find one of her with a cleaner face because she's a devout muslim and was barely able to be convinced to lower her veil for the 5 minute or so photo shoot to start with. What I'm saying though, is that if you are NOT out getting your ass beat by scrab (bearing in mind this idea that cities are supposed to be infinitely safer than the sands), and you're not part of a group that's regularly or severely getting injured, there's really NOT an overriding reason to have a bunch of damage to your face. With me, at least, I'll typically start my pcs as relatively young, and scarless, and let them accumulate through gameplay, unless there are specific, story-related scars from the said pc's past. My point though, I think, stands. And I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm just trying to say that both can be the case realistically. Reality in any shades of grey world, is rarely black and white.

So that's why all the middle eastern folk follow such a backwards and harmful philosophy: the veils protect their face from scrabs!

Eh. I'm not one to talk to about anything that relates to a burqa or women not being equals. I get angry and mean. Fast. But no, I'm more or less saying that if you're not out there getting your face all fucked up in fights, I see no reason why you should have your face all fucked up from fights. It's really that common sense.

Let's keep in mind Arm is a fantasy game. If you can have a dwarf running around kicking ass in a jockstrap, you can have an f-me in the same room.

Her face looks more reddish in places than others, mainly around the eyes. Regardless a picture of a woman from a far less harsh and equalitarian world than Zalanthas is not a good point of comparison.

So... you mean a world where half the populace is automatically subjugated? Where the temperatures regularly hover above 100 degrees? A harsh, desert world where people are scraping hand over fist through sterile dirt to eke out what meager existance they can amidst tribal warfare, warring factions, and untouchable figureheads of power? The same kind of world where you have four kids before you're twenty and one of them is guaranteed to die, where you're expected to die by the time you're in your fifties and swathes of people are swept up in zealotry for these powerful figureheads, willing to give life over limb to lay death on any man who besmirches the name of them? Actually, that's pretty fucking zalanthan holmes, but I'm talking about afghanistan, where the girl is from.

Yeah, those two pictures are proof that taverns are the antithesis of RP.

Actually, that's pretty fucking zalanthan holmes, but I'm talking about afghanistan, where the girl is from. To be fair, most of the world is subjugated. It's not like poor kids in America choose to be born to and stuck with abusive parents. The temperatures are regularly above 100 degrees fahrenheit in Texas, the state I live in. You'd be surprised how 'Americanized' the rest of the world, including desolate slums/villages/tribes, is. Even in small villages in Afghanistan they use metal tools. Knives, shovels, hoes. They have radios that they use to keep in contact with other villages and cities. Often villages have a vehicle, guns, books. Even in Africa you'll see thousands of kids running around in L.A. Heat jerseys. They don't have to worry about sandstorms nearly as much, or raptors, scrabs, giant spiders. The religion part is fucked and the reason that most of these places are backwards as fuck. I'm surprised we ever got out of the Dark Ages. Thank you middle eastern dead men for putting arrows into the crusaders and convincing them to get back on the boats.

A world where women are neither the physical equivalent of men nor seen as such? A world where warring factions don't view females as the same kind of threat as males for those reasons? yeah, that\s what I was imagining. I would imagine women are less likely to get scarred than men pretty much anywhere on Earth than anywhere on Zalanthas, where even the roaches can offer a newb an exhausting fight. Because Zalanthas is harsher than Earth in every way. And much like the red discoloration on that womans face (presumably from where the veil didn't cover) Id imagine that on a planet where night is one-third the length of day poor people would be even more likely to have an uneven tan.

Meh. Not every pc is combat oriented to start with (almost none of mine have been), a good portion of them are fairly well off (more than half of mine have been), and most pcs (that I have played, again, I stress) have had no need to be outside longer than to walk too or from a place in a city for more than a day a week. If people want to play differently they can, but it's not the case with all people that just because their pc isn't beat or wretched looking and might look like they get enough to eat that they want to get laid constantly or are even meant to be an fme of any kind, and I think it's ridiculous the amount of bias shown against attractive female pcs vs attractive male pcs. It's sexist, a double standard, and frankly pretty fucking offensive.

Like I said Im just trying to clarify Lizzie's point. and I think it's ridiculous the amount of bias shown against attractive female pcs vs attractive male pcs. It's sexist, a double standard, and frankly pretty fucking offensive. The problem was with the physically flawless PCs not with the physically attractive PCs. As for gender I believe thats only because it's easier to spot female f-mes. Typically the male f-mes are harder to distinguish from the similarly ridiculous muscular manly men with muscles in taverns. Because they're not emoting about their 10+ inch long junk in public. Aaaaaaaand some of the male f-me players are bi/gay and play straight female characters to pick up men... just nightmare fuel for thought for some of you loose guys out there.

I know it's not a personal thing on you, Bitter. Forgive me if I seem overly quarrelsome the past few days, I've just been sick as a damn dog. It's awful, I can't even lay down without hacking so hard my entire torso tenses up and starts hurting. I don't an issue with physically flawless pcs. I have an issue with physically flawless pcs that join military clans (militia, legions, byn, fist) and don't wind up scarred over time because of all the beatings, but that also dovetails with my particular peeve about people losing 1/3-1/2 of their HP in one hit and not even missing a beat but then getting angry that I'm rping out a vicious axe chop to the wrist with a broken wrist.

Nah, we're cool. All this debate has done has reinforced my belief coding real-time scarring right into a MUD is far better than trusting people to be honest about applying it
