I've gone full monty. Sending the staff links to my logs and request tool dump is not required. That is seeking conflict or trying to provoke them to a negative reaction. I already know what will happen if I do it. They will immediately ban me for being a dick about my posting here or they'll go, so what?

If someone wants to personally tell the staff to look at my posts, feel free, but I won't be doing it. You have my blessing to do it as much as you want. I just won't be doing it myself.

The cost of freedom of speech is that anyone can say anything. The value of freedom of speech is that no one can stop you from saying anything. You take the good with the bad and if you're interested in the opinions of a few on this board I think there is a follow feature? I don't use it personally, but I've seen others profiles have them marked as following this or that person.

Quick tangent

I have all the respect in the world for Jcarter's approach to this forum. It'd have been easy to start this up as a side board to discuss things and eventually go crazy with censorship against people who insulted him or people who keep posting topics or individual posts that make the site look bad. To my knowledge he's moderated like 3 times. The cesspool, the racism, and one other thing I forget.

Now maybe he's just apathetic and he does it that way because he doesn't want the work load. He's said that a couple of times. But still the corner stone of any relevant discussion is the firm knowledge that anything you say will be left untouched and unmoderated.

#3 - I meant that the person animating may not have known that Ty was linked to Jeshin. It depends how the wish displays information and whether the animating staffer had any way to quickly find out which account owned Ty.

As for who approved me, I do not know, they just said they made a minor fix to my mdesc and welcome me back. No name given and the acceptance e-mail no longer lists them.

Since this seems to be of some interest to people once I posted a 72 hour old log of the Tuluki RPT as experience by myself.

1. I have stated multiple times on this board that no action has ever been taken against me for posting here. Not even my log dump of request tool conversations I had with staff both productive and negative.

2. I forgot my password and e-mailed the staff to ask them if I could have it reset. It was done within 24 hours and when I sent in my character app from my Jeshin account the staffer who approved it said welcome back to the game. This is all with my main account which is called Jeshin and which I have confirmed repeatedly is me on this board.

3. As you can see from my wishing up for animation I was not singled out or mistreated or immediately forcestored. The staff did a good job with the animation and I felt like I had a good time. If anything they focused on the newb more than me and that's fine. It's also safe to assume that they didn't know who I was at the time too so it could have meant nothing.

4. At another point with this most recent throwaway character I walked into a Kadian clan room in Morin's. The entry wasn't secured by a gate or door guard but once you got inside there was a door guard to prevent exiting. I wished up and in about 15 minutes I was transferred out and a staffer was ontop of fixing it so it didn't happen again.

5. I have not been contacted, harassed, banned, or in any way punished for posting that log at the time of this posting. Nor was I harassed or contacted related to creating a new GDB account Jeshin OR to ask the staff about that autospam craft thingy from another thread.

I have had a relatively pleasant brief return to ARM and I will acknowledge that in recent times the staff appear to be trying to turn the corner on their questionable reputation. I think that if they got a PR staffer for the forums and specifically to handle player complaints and staff complaints it might benefit them. A fair majority of ARMs problems could be solved if someone was around to treat the players like the adults that almost all of them are. That won't fix glass ceilings or clan caps or anything but it would at least create a better staff and player relationship which can lead to better days overall.
