The cliques in the community of Armageddon players are the worst. I absolutely fucking hate how half of the pbase circlejerks each other on the GDB. Post something one of them doesn't agree with? Three or four more will jump in and agree with them over you. Not to mention the handful who will debate politics until it's them breaking down a post one sentence at a time.
After a while it just seemed like posting anything was a waste of time (see the idle complaints thread, it's like shouting into the void), unless it was on a sub-board for a clan.

I stopped arguing about politics and on the internet in general when I tried arguing on the GDB such radical opinions like how maybe OWS isn't going to get much done at all (they haven't) and they should follow the example of the tea party who actually got people elected into congress to better serve their interests. When I went over to the Arm pictures thread and saw the people who were foaming at the mouth about the topic the most were 18 year old college freshman that's when I said why bother.

Yeah, the forums seem pretty shit these days compared to in the past when I played. Most of the activity seems to happen in the non game related forum which I couldn't care less about.

Staff with a constant reply of "Well, we don't want to put in the effort to support your ideas" piss me off.
Back in 'the day', if it was done IC, staff made it IC. If you spend a RL month gathering blocks of sandstone and made a wall, kept them updated as to the status of the wall, and defended the wall against dangerous creatures... staff would change the roomdesc and make a wall.

Does anyone have that pic of X-D as the southpark guy from way back when? I was the guy who originally made them. I made a few of them and put up one about spawnloser, the next day the album was wiped.

The decline in the game atmosphere makes me more sad than pissed.. it used to be so fun and edgy :/ I feel like someone took my favorite toy and glued foam padding all over it, then put it on a high shelf and said they would let me play with it sometime, maybe, if I followed the rules, then they wouldn't tell me when or how I'm allowed to play with it anyway.

The game is all foam padding now. I feel like if I even -met- an assassin in game, I couldn't pay them to kill anyone without 10,000 coins (which gets me killed just for having it anyways), AND my mark being told I wanted them dead.
Nevermind that since everyone has cures, poisons aren't all that deadly, and combat is much much slower than it used to be, its not very easy to mundanely kill PCs.
