If you can kill a beetle you will blast raptors and silt flyers.

Let's talk rats. I seem to remember some in under-Tuluk (RIP) that released self-fleeing gas, can't remember their name though. Any more nasty little things like that about? Also curious about canyon of waste, I remember being a desert elf their once and seeing some scaly black serpent thing (only sort of cat size), it may have been clan specific though. And mantis, how much variety is there? Are there kick ass ones, or do they just horde you? There's also the diseased rats under the labrynth that make you go stupid -indefinitly- unless I'm mistaken. Can anyone compare the nastiness difference between sewer horrors and regular silt horrors? Or are they about the same? Also speaking about the silt sea I remember our merry little band coasting along the edge one day and a raptor started chasing our skimmer, so we just turned tide and sailed out to sea. Must've been some buggy code or something though cause the damned thing swam after us for leagues and leagues! haha.. that always made me laugh, swimming raptors.

You can "climb" over the Deep Silt rooms. If you fail your check, you die. But I've had characters without the climb skill carefully climb into the deep silt (insta-gib rooms) before, so it's probably not even a terribly high check...

I've always considered this to be a bug. Likely when someone on staff reads this, things will change. Currently a twinked out delf ranger (max climb, gear, spiced out on krezel) could "swim" out into the silt sea without much problem. Maybe this is why they don't "need" skimmers.

Yeah, I always assumed it was like a "fall in quick sand, 'Don't move!'" sort of thing.

So where on the scales does that put them compared to raptor, scrab, spiders, beetles, etc.

Braxat possess high strength. Do not tangle with one unless you can wreck red-brick tarantulas solo.
IIRC their offense is around 30-40, maybe I could be off.
Tougher than raptors, tougher than scrab, tougher than most if not all spiders, around the same as black beetles perhaps, maybe a little tougher?
Tougher than a dujat in the t.lands as well from what I remember, as dujat hit hard but you're for the most part safe if you have high agility and decent defense.

if u want to update that scorpion's materials entry, they at least give their stinger and a "used chitin disk" thing, perhaps more. the stinger and disk sell for a little bit of money to various npcs at the bazaar

Lets see.. what else can we add to this great list.
Cilops - found in the grey and far east of tuluk materials - Jaw, and chitin Can poison you with bloodburn med - low threat level, bring a red tablet with you
Vultures - various places throughout the known materials - feathers, meats, slivers of bone basic one hit kills
Scrabs - come in three sizes now Giant insectoid creature - biggest, baddest Dark-shelled - medium Grey-shelled - lowest All give same materials
Kagor - red dessert south of Luir's Like to hide, fairly easy to kill matierials - Pelt, skull?
Spade headed snake (whatsitcalled) Also new to the desserts south of Luir's surrounding area Likes to hide, can poison with bloodburn Materials - ichor glands, snake skin, Low threat leven
Oh Duskhorn! somehow nobody mentioned this one yet med - low level threats, the does auto-flee and the bulls will attack materials - curling set of horns, hide, meats Horns make excellent craftables
Hmm that's all I can think of right now. Also anyone know what those black insectoids are that hunt in packs out in the thornlands way east of the plains from Tuluk?

They're basically a mantis head if you fight them on your own at melee regardless of your skill / off / def unless maybe you're a krathi magicker. You can skin them for peraine glands. If staff sees you shooting them / farming them for glands they will likely move them towards you and you'll be dead (for good reason though. those glands shouldn't come easy.) In effect east of the thornlands is the place on the ancient map that reads: Here be Monsters.

eastern kryl are chumps and shooting them is efficient unless there's ox/bahamet/cilops nearby because they'll run into the room with the dead kryl and eat it so you can't skin it!
Edit - Also the eastern kryl are actually weaker combatants than the grey forest ones their only threat is that they come in groups but you can easily game that shit with flee especially if you can 2-3 hit them which a competent ranger/warrior can.
