A four-armed silt lurker.
This round black crustacean has a total of six legs that sprout, three on each side, from the heavily plated main body. Having no visible eyes, a line of antennae, five in number, forms a mohawk like crest from front to back, with the front only being called that because that is where the mouth is. From each side of the mouth sprouts two thick, armored black limbs, each one equipped with a large, serrated pincer at the tip.
Along the coast of the silt.
Gives: a dull-black plate
Danger: Medium-High

There is one roc that I know about, and its tameable, and when you ride it you can either "Soar" through ground level rooms or fly in air rooms. It does not require staff support.
There is a lot of cool stuff out there, that players are too solo-playing to experience.

Name: Carru An antlered, golden brown carru is here, nosing at the ground. You look up at a golden brown carru. Standing between four and five cords tall, this beast is covered with a thick, tough hide. The hide is darker nearer the head, lightening to almost a creamy golden brown towards the hindquarters. A bony ridge begins at the base of the neck, and follows the spine down its body, tapering from the broad shoulders to the narrow hindquarters. Each of its four powerful legs end in sharp claws, and several dagger-like teeth line its muzzle, with grazing teeth along the front of its mouth. On the top of its head are a pair of large, forked antlers, with spear-like tips. It noses quietly about and, despite its size, appears docile. Loc: The Pah, scrublands Danger: low (young ones), medium (adults) Special: bash Materials: rack of antlers, meat, skin

Name: Verrin Hawk A verrin hawk circles lazily through the air. You look down at a verrin hawk. A verrin hawk circles in slow loops through the sky. Plumaged in dark, dusky colors, this large bird's feathers shift from dark greys to bruised purples and browns. A fierce beak, dangerously hooked, rests beneath two glittering obsidian eyes. Its wings span five or six cords. Loc: grasslands Danger: low Special: none Materials: feathers, meat, beak
Name: Bahamet An enormous shelled creature tramples the grasses. You look up at an armored bahamet. Resembling nothing so much as a tiny moving hill, this enormous shelled creature stands ten cords in height. Its shell is a dusty, mottled brown splashed with streaks of green and gold. A tiny head peers out from beneath the shell, gazing suspiciously around itself with beady eyes. Loc: grasslands Danger: very high Special: none Materials: head, meat, some chunks of shell
Name: Gizhat A massive, red-furred creature forages on the grass here. You look up at a crimson-furred gizhat. Four squat legs branch out of the massive torso of this mammalian creature. It is large, stretching well past eight cords in length, and has a large dorsal fin that runs the length of its back. A broad, flat tail follows it. A thick layer of fine, silken fur drapes across the creature except for along the face, where the skin has hardened into a protective layer of armor. Thick ridges of cartilage run along either side of the snout and up, circling the eyes before disappearing into the cheek. Loc: grasslands Danger: medium Special: bash Materials: ridge, meat, fur

Any confirmation on where turaal are? I know stilt lizards (so far as high-agility dodging beasts) but never actually fought a turaal.

I know for sure Turaal are around the canyons in the Tablelands.
I think they like to hide and sneak.

Wild erdlu (tameable) are also found in the same mountains the lions are in.

In other words, don't fuck with a gaj.
I can't remember their offense, but it's around a mekillot's.
The scariest beasties in game would have to be the gaj, mekillot and ankheg.

Go fight a Mek. Or a pack of spiders/gith.
And no, snakes and wezers are not hard to kill.
Another idea might be a Silt Flyer. Not sure how tough they are though.

A wezer's poison is what makes them dangerous. You become paralyzed and sometimes they take you into their domes. The poison doesn't kill you though and if you stay still, for some reason they don't attack you, or at least they didn't in my case. Just waited for the poison to wear off and spammed the eff outta there.
