I'm far to mysterious to tag O.O
Do you believe that staff have ever or have recently done RPTs with the intent of clearing out a clan? If I have a contract to escort Amos from Allanak to Luirs and I get raided by a high number of gith that slaughter half the escort detail. Is that just an appropriately dangerous RPT/Animation or is that suspect to you?

Quick question for everyone reading this thread..
1) Do you believe in clan caps on the number of people allowed to be recruited or join? Y/N
2) Do you believe that the Byn should always have loose hiring policies or policies determined by the Sarge with no ooc directives from staff? Y/N
3) Do you believe that contracts and RPTs should be 'reasonable' and not pre-planned murder jobs? Not whether they seem to be, just if an RPT is designed to kill off members of a clan than is that not okay with you? Explain?
Why do I ask those 3 simple questions to establish a base line of dialogue. If you're someone who believes in clan caps than there's no point in arguing them with you. If you're someone who believes that the occasional clan clearing RPT is totally fine than there's no point in arguing their downsides with you. If you're someone who believes the staff should ooc direct IC hiring policies in a clan that isn't having a membership problem or breaking docs by hiring a bunch of gickers than there's no point in arguing that with you.
But if you do agree on some of those points than we can at least agree on those and quibble about whether this RPT or that RPT was indeed orchestrated to clear the decks for a clan or not. As I stated in the beginning of this thread at one point (according to OOC friends in the byn) there was a staff directive to change hiring policies. Now how long that lasted and for which time period it was, I can't specify because I can't recall. But I would imagine it was near around when I posted it.

*sigh* Kronibas, I really don't like having to do this.
1) The lack of clan caps when there were no people in clans does not mean there were no clan caps. It just means that no clan had become populated enough to warrant a capping of its recruitment
2) While I disagree with clan caps as a rule (see my posts on the matter in several locations on this board) they have nothing to do with the original assertion of this thread.
3) If anyone knows when the first clan cap was implemented and has some kind of date or request tool or post we can reference that'd probably help sort out how long they've been in place. Or if someone was willing to post in ask the staff about it.

Kronibas there is a reason I posted multiple character logs and even request logs. I wanted to demonstrate to anyone who might question my statements and my experiences with staff that I was willing to show evidence and let them decide. When you first went rogue and outed yourself, I told you to post your request tool history. Afterall there is nothing to lose from doing it because you outed yourself as the real Kronibas already. Not to mention I confirmed yesterday that I am still not banned despite my posts and I have very much proven that I am Jeshin from the GDB and game.
But seriously people, don't post stuff that outs yourself unless you're willing to be banned. I only mentioned that I remain unbanned because some people claim that posting on these boards no longer leads to immediate banning and by all the evidence I have from my own account that is technically true.
TLDR - You want credibility Kronibas? Put your shit on the board if you have it. Find GDB posts. Copy paste your request tool logs into a google drive and link them. Provide RP logs of your characters. Give us your social security number, birthdate, and mothers maiden name.

I admire your commitment to the art form of stylized writing. I have a request, go back to all your old posts and edit them to fit in with your new artistic theme! armageddonmud.boards.net/post/3423

Yeah didn't happen Kronibas at least not anywhere within 7 pages of the ask the staff or announcements. Barring someone else finding a linkable reference I'm afraid this would be classified as a 'busted' myth. Also there isn't a reference to automated spamcrafting notes on this board either.
Fact check next time lest you harm the impeccable credibility of this esteemed board. Good day sir.

I honestly don't think the staff would implement that kind of note system. There is a server stability risk in doing it. If they set the threshold for spamcrafting at something they consider to be "spamming" but the playerbase doesn't. A single merchant account could be flagged repeatedly. Multiply that by all guilds and subguilds that provide crafting and account notes could very quickly get flooded with these automated flags. It'd just be really efficient processing wise.
If they really super wanted to automate it than I guess they could design the script to flag a single character on an account once in the characters lifetime. But that still would mean the script is running in the background constantly running checks on the rate people are crafting which would be a pretty heinous use of server resources.
EDIT - If I'm wrong than that would be pretty horrifying.

^ That is the closest thing I found as well, but it's not an automated system. It's not like if you craft 10 bows in 10 minutes the server auto flags your account.

I looked at the first 4 pages of announcements on the GDB, couldn't find anything referring to this. I don't recall ever discussing it either.

Bean was a product of illegal Eugenics work and the ethical ramifications of that were repeatedly explored. Ender didn't support genocide whilst the Earth government did, the other books deal with these topics at length. As for fascism, once again this theme was in the book but was not explicitly supported by the narrative it was merely a story component. Based on your one line response I can only assume that any book that tackles these issues is Nazi apologist? Where in the book(s) does the author explicitly use the story to make a case supporting these topics from which you are concluding that it apologizes or justifies the nazi regime? EDIT - I googled that shit specific search parameters: Ender's+game+nazi+apologia forum.rpg.net/archive/index.php/t-299361.htmlblogs.houstonpress.com/artattack/2012/06/enders_game_horrible_lessons.php^ It appears that the primary point is that Ender is a charismatic leader who utterly destroys his enemies in his own self-defense (as perceived by himself). This is then extrapolated to mirror Hitler's own life and philosophies. I'll acknowledge that you can academically argue this but only as some kind of classroom discussion or debate league topic. The book gives the reader omnipotent perspective which quickly provides the crucial supporting details that dismisses the Ender = Hitler presumption. Ironically enough the character Ender would probably agree with you that he is future space Hitler due to his own actions, but I'm afraid that I personally don't see the logic to support it. EDIT #2 - Providing a better link with sublinks in this page for those that want to dig deeper too www.kuro5hin.org/story/2005/5/28/22428/7034

If Tuluk operates like Battlestar Galactica's fan theory than Allanak should be worried. There is a fan theory that cylon-ism? could be transferred via sex, probably because of all the rampant sex on the show. If mindslave parasites could be transferred via mudsex (prometheus reference) than Tuluki's could totally destroy Allanak!
Snippit Tracing the infection is just a matter of following who slept with who among the crew of the Galactica. The biggest evidence for a Cylon sex disease is that all Four of the Final Five Cylons either slept with Cylons or have links to people (carriers) who slept with known Cylons... Personally, I see the Cylon sex disease as a great way to pay homage to original series Star Trek. I always wondered how Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and other crew members could have numerous horizontal intergalactic alien interfaces and not come down with a case of sexually transmitted space cooties. Meanwhile, there were tons of galactic bugs going around: the aging virus (The Deadly Years), diseases that only affect grown ups (Miri), to the sweat transmittable disease Psi-2000 virus that caused Sulu run around shirtless with a fencing sword (The Naked Time). Not having an STD on original Star Trek (too sensitive an issue for the sixties?) was a real missed opportunity and could be rectified by Battlestar Galactica.
Plus, if Cylon sex disease eventually leads to topless Galactica crew members with fencing swords, I'm all for it.
I didn't write anything above this and am not partial to topless people fencing with swords, personally speaking.

To my knowledge I haven't been banned despite my log and request tool dumps. I did forget my password, twice now though.
