Honestly they'll use that as evidence that dissenting opinions get people banned, however, there is plenty of evidence that this is not the case, for most of the time I have posted here I have attempted to defend staff, but over time I have crossed over the lines of ambivalence for staff to moderate dissappointment. Further, My2sids frequently posts dissenting opinions but he is not banned because he is not here simply to troll, and actually contributes to meaningful conversation. I wish Armqwerty2 would come back, he was a good dude even if he didn't usually agree. RGS doesn't always agree, and jcarter doesn't ban him even though he seems to regard him as the slime of the earth, and I think RGS does bring something to the table.

Malken, well, I highly dissapprove of his posting habits, but to my knowlege he hasn't been banned either. So a couple douchebags who post nothing but filth and troll on these boards got banned. That's how it works. I posted trolling, flaming, nonsensical posts like a lolcat for a couple years before finally posting something of worth, but there were lines I wouldn't cross. My main objective was to try and make a sort of point while making people laugh, I never gave much of a shit about karma or ass-kissing staff. If I think something is good, I will praise it, if I think something is bad, I will take issue with it and voice my opinion. I try never to polarize people or communities. If I say, your opinion is stupid, this doesn't mean I think you're stupid. Some do not have the same level of courtesy as I do, they tend to end up blowing smoke up admin ass on the GDB.

This. Not only that, but also, Nergal led the charge to completely disregard standing administration procedure and unilaterally ban myself, RedRanger, and Grumble for being associated with the board. They exploited this manufactured crisis to remove people from a game that we cared about, and the GDB sycophants were more than happy to orchestrate that outrage as a cover-up for it.

You know what's happening right now? The GDB sycophants raiding us. Evilcabbage, Saellyn, whoever else has been banned here recently; they are raiding our community here. I come from a game network which had inter-server hostilities in the past (Space Station 13), and every single good community has a standing rule against organizing raids or trolling other servers by "arriving from X" or the originating server: if you do it, you're banned, no questions asked. It's clear to me that the GDB sycophants realize (from previous policy decisions) that the moderation and enforcement of rules in Armageddon's community are on a like-dislike basis, and they feel free to organize raids against our forum here. They are intentionally shilling out hatred so that they can run back to their own board, point at their own posts here, and say, "That place isn't good for discussion. Look what they're talking about here."

The Armageddon moderation team will allow it because: well, firstly, they don't have an inkling of what proper administrative policy is, or how to follow it; but moreover, if these sycophants were to be punished under the standing rules, they would have to hold themselves accountable for the same infractions that they themselves have performed, which just isn't going to happen.

If there's one good admin still left on the Armageddon team, listen to me: set a precedent for your users, ban these raiders, and set the high ground for this community. I'll give discredit to Nyr when it's unfortunately do: he would rather just ignore problems until they go away instead of directly engaging in them to try and fix it, and that seems to be the standing inherited policy now. Why anyone would want to participate in such a toxic, vile community, where raiding and metekillot's hateful racist slurs are proudly boasted about, is an insult to me as an administrator. I'm glad that Jcarter is banning these vitriolic agitators, and I hope that everyone who reads their boasts about how they were banned from here do visit this forum and see through their lies like the cowardly moochers they truly are.
