Bilbo, come on, you imitated a guy with a lame gimmik a while and now you're trying to make some kind of lame-ass stand, you know that puts you one worse footing than me, don't you?

You have absolutely no idea how to speak sense to these sheeple, but I do, I will add them all to my AIM buddy list and pass them the forbidden kool-aide, and then we will Nobody and Nyr all over your plots until you just quit in sheer, panicked, brains-blowing-out horror.

(Actually, I won't do that, nor do I think anyone here would cooperate with such an OOC agenda, half would likely immediately try to murder me)

I love how you devolve into the same baseless attack every single time someone calls you out on your complete bullshit. "You'd make a great imm!" I never said anything about censoring you morons. You're predictable. For every one "good" thing you may think you cause, you created an area where a hapless visitor can spoil the mystery of the world that he wants to play in. You created an area where people break the rules simply because they can. You expose IC information that oftentimes most people wouldn't even know if it weren't for you. Do good for the game? You're worse than the cancer-posters on the GDB. All these threads about metagame, and how to skill up, and what defines a fail - the 'assumptions' people make here, and the 'assumptions' people make there. You spread misinformation. Most of the shit you people say is just that. Shit. Grow up. Get over it. One guy who burned himself on a game and didn't know when to take breaks and relax doesn't deserve the consistent level of hatred that he gets when almost every decision made by staff is generally agreed upon BY staff. There are no singular decisions. Nyr didn't 'decide' randomly to just ban some guys because he felt like it. It was a discussion, staff side, where admins and producers decided that certain players didn't deserve to play anymore. Also, making fun of somebodies name is pretty fucking low. Also, good job Bitter. That's exactly the kind of childish garbage I expect from a forum where one of your greatest heralded posters owns thirteen posts on the first page of a thread he created and is known for going on completely insane rants that have absolutely no fucking basis at all. Kronibas's excuse is that he's a whackaadoo who is snowed in a 50 sqrt cabin shared with other dudes. What's yours

Agreed. The difference is kronibas is clearly human, no matter how strongly he may disagree with someone. I don't even know the guy beyond his posts and that much is obvious. Bilbojagginz on the other hand posts out of pure malevolence. It's why I say he'd make a great imm.

bilbo, i have read over this a few times now, and i have no clue what the fuck you are talking about. I can't think of ANYONE off the top of my head who is banned from the game.
marginalized? yes karma-docked? yes GDB-booted? yes straight up text based roleplaying game pariah? yes
banned? nope.
and i think a LOT of players here still enjoy ArmageddonMUD and enjoy discussing it in a way unhindered by staff who don't want to discuss anything that makes their game look bad.

I DON'T LIKE YOU! YOU'RE ALL BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD! YOU'RE CHILDISH! The real question is why don't you see playing Arm' as something better to do than this? You're not even being creative. This is just an exercise in getting people to mock you for your stupidity by displaying it which, incidentally, isn't an accomplishment.

Samos' player was a player and to my knowledge never became an imm.
AFAIK Samos' player was living together with a staff member though. I am not clear when he became a staff member, before or after Samos became Red robed (I realized it too late and in a coincidence when the player of Samos was talking about the said staff member).
Samos did not store, to my knowledge he was force stored for reason "the game world does not have the content to accommodate a Red Robe". That was one of the reasons why the player of Samos got angry and quit the game afterwards, because the same thing happened to her previous character, Ceylara Borsail. She was force stored without even a notification, she figured out when she tried to log in to the game one day and noticed Ceylara was nomore.

i would like to hear more about the storages of those characters if anyone knows anything further.
ale_six may have even written about it some on the GDB.
Nyr had JUST been made him near the end of Samos, so maybe he isn't to blame. so who was?

I don't know who was behind the storing decisions in either case. It does not matter anymore cause they were 8-9 years ago anyway.

Well, the tendency to store characters who accrue too much power seems entirely arbitrary and heavy handed. It seems like some people are stored quickly while others aren't at all. I started a thread about this earlier in the week, and it seems, as someone said, to be a Nyr device, no longer in practice... but the instance you're referring to falls in a time when Nyr was barely out of his Thrend boots.
Sanvean was a highlord at the time, and nessalin has traditionally been "in charge" of Allanak during times when there isn't anyone else. I just couldn't see nessalin saying to force store that character because there have been other powerful templars and characters during his time as admin of Nak who weren't similarly force stored.
You're right that it doesn't necessarily matter who did it, but ale six's character storings seem to be the beginning of a trend that Nyr took and ran with, using the option to force store characters way more than he should have.
Force storing characters because of them having accrued too much power in any way seems to go directly against this:
Despite all of this, there are virtually no limits to what can happen, barring the ludicrous. If your character sets up a mercenary company, he/she may one day lead an army of loyal soldiers on an assault of one of the great city-states. As a magicker your character may one day become a fabled elemental being. Burglars may reach levels of affluence beyond imagination, and merchants may likewise become so rich as to own their own merchant house and dominate the world's economy. The limits are truly whatever you can imagine occurring.
the limits are whatever you can imagine occuring...

Why is it we don't have a thread dedicated to force stores and threats to force store?

We had a thread dedicated to my force-storage, but everyone told me I deserved it.
