What's bad is that the GDB was forced into an unnecessary hub for the game by those staff members who basically required its use.
interestingly, that very same insistence on that level of communication seems to be, to me anyway, a big culript behind a board like this.
Urine Moose definitely seems combative. I think that if you can't do your thing without seeming combative to multiple players, maybe it's time to go back to being just a player or stop posting as staff. Leave moderation to Laura Mars... she's not a dick at least.
Seriously though... there is no rule that says a person must be staff forever. In fact, I think people should take long breaks and let others step up. Staff members feeling jaded should try being just a player again.
Trust me, there are plenty of very smart people on this game who would make great staff members. Acting condescendingly toward players just because you've been on staff for a long time is a dick move. unless you're nessalin, and if you get that dude riled up enough to stick his dick in the mashed potatoes... well, have fun with that.

Samos, staff or player, killed about a dozen of my characters.
It was wicked scary how much magickal power he had, and how he didn't give a fuck about leaving the city to kill you.
He chased one of my characters half way to Luirs, with the magick that allows him to come in on a gust of wind, about five times, before he eventually paralysed me.

i think most ataff have been having a pretty good attitude, you smuck, but urine moose just seems to really have a bad attitude in general. i even regret having assumed shit about nergal because he was polite when answering a request, you could tell he was being a polite dude... i think the GDB just gives people the wrong impression sometimes. maybe public posting in general.
but euryonomos was misguided and just flat out wrong through the retention thread, and his name crops up second only to nyr's for acting like a dick to players.

Armageddon is something that can be made healthy with discussion, but the discussion on the GDB is arbitrarily moderated and stifled over personal bias way more than it should be. noob.

One guy who burned himself on a game and didn't know when to take breaks and relax doesn't deserve the consistent level of hatred that he gets when almost every decision made by staff is generally agreed upon BY staff. There are no singular decisions. Nyr didn't 'decide' randomly to just ban some guys because he felt like it. It was a discussion, staff side, where admins and producers decided that certain players didn't deserve to play anymore.
