is there even a singular admin over Nak, or is it a group?

The Gaj population has traditionally been a good pulse to Nak's health. Here are some reasons that maybe isn't the case right now:
1. Less Byn members.
2. Byn members going on more overnight contracts/more contracts in general (they're in the desert more than town)
3. Lots of roles were filled to supplement a presumably complex upper class dynamic: nobles, aides, Atrium PCs, or otherwise non-Bynners or Gaj sitters. so, people find themselves in clan compounds, estates, or apartments more.
4. The increase in non-mercenary/lower class characters has caused players to graviate to other places, a few of which the standard commoner would find himself terribly out of place in.
5. An increase in Luir's play, though Kuraci clan caps are definitely a thing; they are not hiring just anyone and everyone, even if you're human.
6. New apartments in RS and LO. last i saw, recently, the majority of these were filled in both places.
7. Better incentive through the addition of a newbie store and other items to play in the rinth.
8. Gith.
9. My time in Allanak has been sparse, but traditionally, players would stop going to something like the Gaj often if templars were coming in a lot and singling out PCs
10. More players with karma, so more magicker characters.
11. Desert elves.
12. the possibility of high karma enclaves like hasan's group, but who knows.
Not trying to be critical by pointing any of these things out. In fact, I like changes in that list, some of them enthusiastically. just theorizing about why the Gaj might seem emptier than a time when Tuluk was open. When Tuluk was open and there were less upper crust/upper crust servants roles open, people flocked more to the Byn and, as such, the Gaj was frequently filled with PCs.
Does the Gaj being empty seem weird to old players? hell yeah. The main problem I see with this is new players (or returning old players) finding themselves sitting alone at a bar that traditionally has had a lot of players.
With the natural disparity in social classes on Arm, it is hard to think of a way to get the grungiest mercenaries and the tressiest tressed aides in one place regularly outside of arena games or festivals.
I don't have many suggestions outside of my initial one to install more than one Byn sergeant.
Maybe having a Byn sergeant or more than one Byn sergeant devoted ENTIRELY to training for stretches at a time, like a drill instructor, would help group newer Bynners inside the city at night while the Troopers or otherwise more experienced Bynners go out in the field.

From what I've seen the Byn is very much so full. I honestly don't see Allanak as "empty". Not even a little bit. Is the Gaj empty? I wouldn't know, tavern-sitting is boring as fuck, I don't usually go in.

Yeah, a few different people have noted how the Gaj has been dead, even myself, which is seemingly counter-intuitive because of Nak being the only open state now... but it's probably because the Byn is actually out doing shit at night.
again, i think people are just accustomed to the gaj being THE place in Nak, but when trends make it less filled-the-fuck-up-with-people, like now, i think people have a tendency to think the worst: the game is dead.
when in reality there are 66 players online... not sitting in the Gaj. Heh.

For me, closing Tuluk turned me off the game quite a lot. Who else hasn't really played ever since?
Tuluk was just my place to play in. When Rath took over it actually seemed to have improved somewhat after it had suffered at the hands of the previous admin. There were actual plots for the legion and the Byn to keep busy. It definately needed a better story arc rather than the stupid northern vs southern war tho. There was so much more potential that could have been taken advantage off... even after Tuluk closed, but nothing really happened. I did enjoy parts of the war tho, it wasn't all bad.
Staff haven't given any feedback about wether their roles are easier or worse since the closing of Tuluk have they? How many staffers are there now? Couldn't we just spare 3 to run Tuluk and open it back up?
I would definately get heavily back into Arm if Tuluk came back.

Anyone poked around Tuluk at all recently? Any of the rooms changed, critts still about etc? From what happened before you'd expect a lot of wasteland etc no?

No. Game never changes, except for removing stuff and adding random crap that's not equal value to what's removed. Not even close.

I avoid the Gaj like the plague, but when I do go to the Gaj, I swallow the fact that my PC may die, and do what's IC...
Also, like, the Gaj is all the WAY across town from the Byn compound, they should either move the Byn closer to the Gaj, or better yet, move the fucking Gaj to the other side of town. Hopefully the fucking Militia will stay out because nothing ruins gritty RP as much as some silk-swaddled bastard cunt walking in.

I miss having some place else to go when my charries die. I get totes bored tregil-jumping from Nak to Storm to Luir's. I can never escape running into the same people I played with and it just ruins shit for me. I miss Tuluk.

You can't make a new pc, without pretty much being dragged back to your old friends anymore. And I feel this is making Cliques a real thing again. I've noticed people claiming aides are dead in less then 24 hours of going missing. When this starts happening it always means groups of people are talking about ic stuff behind the scenes.

If you want to get into this kind of stuff, get Delerak to explain how the game cheating works. At one point in time he had dirt on more than like half of the extant clan leaders.
