I haven't tried any. Just curious if any of the spells would be fun really. Even if on a basic level. Ya know?

They took away full elementals? Why, update reasons?

They took away full elementals? Why, update reasons? That happened months ago. I think the reason given was to streamline magicker players into picking up other games.

So they announced, publicly no less, that their objective, by removing content, was to drive active (and experienced) players away from the game?!

I dont remember a justification for every part of the magick guild change. Its possible I missed it. Without going back and reading the gdb forum (which you could do instead of asking us to) my recollection is that the staff was uninterested in telling high magick stories with full sorcs, red robes, and full elementals.

I hate the gimpification of magickers. Now I'll go cry somewhere.

I believe they made some mention of removing full elementalists as preparation for upcoming changes, so we can expect full elementalists back right around never.

I may have taken some liberties with their given reason. I am pretty sure the word "streamlining" came up but I forget the exact crock of shit to follow it.

Thanks for the info Wasn't meaning anyone should go out of their way and reread posts. Was just asking anyone who read my post if they had memory of reasons given because I completely missed it's occurrence in the game.

Because we should all be playing the game for the staffs enjoyment

full sorcs red robes and mages dont prevent imms from telling their own stories, they just didnt like the idea that players would keep choosing roles that didnt fit into the stories they wanted to tell, and stupidly they want to corral all the players into their limited storyline ideas
of course discussion isnt a part of their process, theyre just going to forcibly take away the roles that dont conform to the stories they want to tell
circling the drain as usual
