In some countries, when the leader is full of shit, they recall them, in others, they execute them, ie a coup. In America, we impeach them, tell me then, HOW can we get rid of NYR? Are there any ideas out there?

Are there any ideas out there? find another mud to play such as black sands. that's the only solution. Exactly what jcarter said. Until and unless the numbers of players start plummeting on Armageddon, this board is really just a place for people to air their grievances and share info. If we could all make up our minds to move to a different mud (my mud of choice and that of several others is Black Sands), INSTEAD OF LOGGING INTO ARMAGEDDON, the player numbers will plummet, and maybe the clamor of angry voices will actually be heard. Because over the past four years, the 30ish new players 'gained' by voting drives, etc, has been offset by about that number actually dropping logging in instead of just being disgruntled and complaining about it, and thus, their numbers are not decreasing. And that is something they can point to as anecdotal evidence that they are 'on the right track' so to speak. It's just a little sacrifice and self discipline on the part of each of us here. We can really make a difference, but not so long as we continue to play, using our time, effort and numbers to back an agenda headed by someone whose regime many of us here are seeking to topple. Anyone else with me in thinking this?

I think anyone who lambasts Armageddon here while still playing the game is a bit of a hypocrite. For each player who refuses to vote with their feet, it's a little less likely for anything to change. I'm beyond hoping and expecting for Armageddon to really become great again, honestly, and I don't particularly want to become a dedicated player again even if it does, but it's still a game that I used to care about a lot and would rather see thrive than flounder. It's very, very bad for the RPI genre for its founding flagship game to be so grossly mismanaged.

Haven't logged into Armageddon since October of 2012. Have no plans to go back. The wife (a 10 year vet of Armageddon herself) and I have decided we're probably going to give Black Sands a shot. Fuck Nyr. Adhira too.

I'm not really understanding the concept. Banned and rage-quit players should boycott a game they're banned from or have rage-quit from? What's the payoff for either side? Seems like a win-win for Armageddon because it means the banned players would actually not play, and the ones who rage-quit would not rage on their forum or in their game.
Anyone who is still playing, obviously wants to play and therefore wouldn't be interested in boycotting it, because they'd only be punishing themselves.

I don't necessarily think that's the case though since there's a good number of posters here who have/had high-karma been well received by pbase and staff alike that are looking for something else because they don't like how the game is managed. many posters here weren't banned for being bad players, it was either for communicating 'prohibited' information (anaiah), or disagreements with the staff over how things are run.

Playing Black Sands as something you enjoy, doesn't require that you boycott Armageddon. The point I'm making is that others in this thread seem to think boycotting Armageddon will hurt Armageddon (and in particular, Nyr). The point is that those people who are thinking this, already aren't playing Armageddon (or are claiming that they don't). So it's not going to have any affect on Armageddon if they stop playing it. They aren't playing it anyway. It doesn't matter what they start playing. They're already not playing Arm.
