fun facts from the tell all- staff are allowed to play multiple PCs (Thistle had 10 when he left staff) staff get 8 karma after a waiting period Uruz used to log in as his sorcerer PC and harass templars that he would monitor with his staff account at the same time I know this is like seven years old, but I've always wanted to reply to this so.. here goes. Fun fact! No I didn't. I (thistle) only ever played roles that you could get on zero karma and I never had ten pcs at once. I had at most two and one was more an npc I was using for clan related plots. I honestly have no idea where this notion came from. I didn't even play through ten pcs (the pc I started with as staff was the same pc I ended with). Anyway, just to clear it up, I was Thistle and that's not true. Oh also I never got 8 karma, I got at most 5, but yeah, I probably could have had eight if I asked (five was what my mort account had before I joined).

In part because I was staffing the clan at the time, but also because they actively did something cool that changed the world, maybe not in a big way, but I've always been a sucker for the character driven stories. Other than that there was a couple of white robes in Tuluk whose names I cannot recall, but they just played the roles so well. A chilling benevolence. I recall some of the soldiers for the northern houses (names escape me again) one in particular that was killed by kryl when the kryl code was still pretty new. So yeah, lots of little things. If I looked at my logs (I have a fair few logs from that time) I could say more, but it was a long time ago. I think I must have stopped staffing right around the time that screen cap was taken.

A chilling benevolence. if that was after bam ur prob talking abt qoriya who pl love to hate for playing to the tee how her char was supposed to play via the docs and tuluk policy I recall some of the soldiers for the northern houses (names escape me again) one in particular that was killed by kryl when the kryl code was still pretty new. i remember the first time seeing some tough soldier coming in with acid scars in his sdesc or maybe eq slots when that shit first came out and thinking that was pretty awesome i never knew for sure if that was automaticly added to wherever the person got sprayed because i didnt see many other ppl with them since that and figured if it was optional that there were just too many crybabies who refused to accept or play out the hideous acid burns marring their previously beautiful fuckmes face what was some of the wildest shit uve seen play out whether it was good rp plots or ridiculous code fuckery

I don't know that I have any great examples of wild stuff. From the staff prospective most everything felt extremely mundane to me. As much as this game has been billed as being harsh, most of the people do not play that way. The established leadership types and veteran players, if anything, try to avoid needless harshness and killing. It's usually the people who play the one off throw aways that end up engaging in the wildest stuff, but because those characters are typically throw aways they don't end up actually being that memorable.
I'd say I encountered far more wild stuff as a player oblivious to the staff side than as staff. A common refrain is that staffing is one of the surest ways to end your time playing armageddon. I don't know how true that is, I played for nearly a decade (With longer and more frequent breaks) after staffing, but a decade is a long time to play.
Yeah, I can't actually think of anything really wild or memorable, but that's not to say nothing happened, just that I can't say I had any truly boring characters or times, it was all pretty memorable.
I may not play or staff, but I did in the end get a lot out of armageddon.
