I've seen a few who were decent. I just think they got too much love to start with, and that it's less the fault of the people playing them and more the fault of the people approving the rez requests in the case of the rez jokes, or the people approving X or Y or Z. I tried to make custom piercings happen for everyone the way custom tattoos are but was told by nyr (when he was independents, before he got switched to northern admin), that no, I'm to write a single tattoo npc, and it is to have 8 'piercing' tattoos. I even wrote up identical code to the custom tattoo code that's already in so it would've been viable. I'm bitter over that, because butting heads over that less than a month before moving had me leave staff... I look back on as the probably bigger reason why nyr's so vehement about my not having been able to rejoin and get application times down to an hour average again. >.<

A lot of the gypsy bullshit came from staff members playing up through them as players. hence the ridiculousness of referring to them as the serious RP clan. Recall the plot of Naephet's to smash Kurac from Secrets? Well Luir's got taken over by a mantis horde and a couple defilers. Part of the stipulations of the plotline was the gypsies would suffer too. naturally they didn't. See, the gypsies had the brilliant idea of blocking the entrance to their valley. By flipping a wagon over. so the wagon jammed up the entrance. A wrecked wagon made of wood. A wrecked wagon made of wood was an impassable barrier to a race with more hands to climb with than any other. a wrecked wagon made of wood was superior to the gates and walls of Kurac in repelling a fuck-mothering sorcerer. So invincible was this wagon stopping up the entire entrance that no magicks or climbing or just cutting it with axes was possible. No. don't be silly. that valley was stopped up tight. So naturally the gypsies were still driving their remainging wagons through the stopped up pass. For days. until Mekeda caught them and recoded the room. Did I mention Naephet played a few Muarks in his day? As did Sanvean, the active HL of the time? And a decent chunk of the rest of the staff? Because they did.

Not surprising. It's also not surprising to me that Tuluk gets so much love when so many of the bards are often and often have been played by staff members. And now they've finally fixed the charm code. Hurray... because charm bracelets that don't exist? Oh wait... charm strings that were broken. Awesome.

Nothing drives player activity like costume jewelry. For an exclusive clan. tuluk should spring back to life.
. . . . . . . . . .
any time now.

but dude who would keep the gwoshi safe without them? I'm pretty sure the gwoshi all got the Pompey treatment. naturally the Muark will "find" some survivors. Fucking favoritist gypsy shitbags. If by pompei treatment you mean the gwoshi all burnt up in the volcano, then no. There were no gwoshi living in gypsy land. They live in Mantis Valley, so nothing really happened to them.

Glad to help! There were no gwoshi living in gypsy land. They live in Mantis Valley, so nothing really happened to them. No? My memory on the subject must be fuzzy. nevermind that then. I'll take your word for it since i was never the best hunter. Though had that been the home of gwoshi, they would have been miraculously herded out.

Gwoshi became important to TM before they found Tyn Dashra. Gypsies (if you start count from before ... time travel heh heh), are originally from tablelands.

I need to make a low-insult Nyr thread. Something mature. Something restrained. So. naturally. I need to get the immature hate out of my system first.
So here's are a few on-topic questions for @anaiah. What is Nyr's immortal avatar's sdesc? What are his fadein and fadeouts (forgive me if Ive misremembered the names for staff goto entrance/exit descs)? Because if it's anything less than this,. he's doing himself a disservice:
In a flaccid rain of dongs, the cockbag of Nyr has arrived from the Elemental Plane of Dickery.

When you look at him, it's a picture of a steaming pie or something similar, in ASCII, and instead of a shortdesc, it's just 'Nyr Pah'. As to poofins/outs, I can't recall. As to the suggested one... I'm trying to at least put on the face of civility. Which makes it all the worse that I cannot stop laughing, but no, I'm pretty sure that that was not it.

Gotta keep that on the down-low for a bit lulz. sorry man. Got a few friends who still play. When reality catches up to them it won't be my fault if you get my meaning.

I'm guessing we're around the same age, or you're a year or two older. It's The Warriors reference. I can dig it.
In any case, do what you gotta do; don't want any of your pals suffering on account of someone's petty vendetta.

I'm definitely getting the vibe we had a similar chronology on this game too. Ill eventually mention who i was. I somewhat look forward to it. concealing my typing style comes at the price of hurting my eyes.
