I'm unable to give you the worst offense as he deleted his back and forth with acct Zul. He then summarily banned Zul after baiting him into an argument.
The second worst offense would be Nyr monitoring a political discussion on the GDB and calling for civility whilst posting under his alt account "lookitsgodzilla" and trolling/flame-baiting people. If that's not hypocritical then I don't know what is.
The guy is a tool. End of discussion.
Regarding your "I have karma argument": So what? I had 6 karma on vlad and 2-3 karma on Hoodwinked yet that means what exactly? That's neither here nor there.

It was in response to this: I know someone who played a long lived character well in a pretty high profile role. They got in a disagreement with staff and never got 1 karma. Quite a while later, they started under a new account and immediately started getting karma. Same player with the only difference being one account never dared question the almighty staff. But... Different strokes with different staff, I guess. |

I'm hesitant to change my opinion on someone I've never had issues with myself, but it is pretty screwy that he baited someone into flaming for a ban. I won't again harp on anyone venting about him though. Hahhaa. I have 3 karma on an account somewhere I think. What the fuck? That doesn't cast the slightest bit of suspicion to claims of, "I know a guy that disagreed with the Almighty Staff and didn't get karma because of it"? 'Cause I've locked horns with the Almighty Staff before, and I still managed to rack up more karma than I'd ever care to play with. But, as I said. Mileage may vary depending on the staff member in question. |

If the staff was equally dickish to all it would at least be fair. They claim karma is about trust but it is really just a measure of how much they like you. im learning its all about who you have on your instant messenger list someone i know from another game and know to be a cheater, doing things like luring stilt lizards to distant areas so he can go link dead fighting them for skill ups, is chat happy with a couple of staff by pretending to be a woman ((edited out)) and has earned some karma already in less than a year friendly guy just kind of messed up in the head lol i wouldnt care too much except that i try to play honestly and while i did some dumb things as a newbie i apologized and have improved. when i asked for my account notes it was filled with nasty things about what i was doing and taken the wrong way no one even talked to me just painted me to be a rotten player and that is where im left to sit while my friend is posting fuckbook photos of some woman to people and rolling around in a pile of karma and using triggers and macros to skill up while he plays CS everyone talks like we all obey the rules and no one talks about it but with arm meets and instant messengers everyone is talking about sensitive things anyway this forum has more self moderation than ANY of the people on my msn who tell me all kinds of things for no reason at all i got a message from a guy playing an aid for a nakki templar about what happened to carak right after it happened. it didnt matte because my character wasnt involved but people i only know briefly just randomly send me information. how bad do you think it gets with all the in crew old skoolers on each others lists ? the same guy is playing kissy assy on the gdb with wug or whatever ive never leaked ic information to anyone and because of some dumb misunderstandings and no one asking me about it ((and i didnt even realize it would be seen like it was or i would have explained things with a wish !)) i have to wait a year to play another magic user its a good game but the BULLSHIT and double standards and everyone being fake makes me not want to play  |

People are here for different reasons, get over it. Myself, I have had eight karma then I got into an incident and was dropped to 0 karma. (I deserved it, kind of.) I played for a another few years and got up to eight karma. Lost it!!!! This one was my fault... Kind of. Now I have four karma. I have never met an imm in real life, never used AIM, though I did go on the uiowa page and talk to people for a while and knew some good players in rl. I'm here, I enjoy most of the conversation. It does not mean what you think it means.
Stop jumping on the guy Jcarter and Deralak you two are awful sometimes. As to why I am disgruntled its because you two are being dicks! Thats how I'm contributing to the thread.

Yeah. I think this last cycle of the conversation cant really be swayed whichever way. Nobody can confirm anything, or deny anything. Unless someone can paste some documented chat logs, or request conversations, or whatever. Anything else at all is hearsay and wont convince anyone of anything, whether for, or against.

Um...I'm sorry, have you completely ignored my example of how Nyr moderated a thread before jumping onto his alt and flame baited people?
It's one of a number of those god awful political threads that he himself eventually locked I believe when someone didn't agree with him. Look it up.

The problem with posting anything is you out yourself completely. The number of people on these boards that have already done this can be counted on one hand probably. Most others still play I imagine. I have plenty of stuff to post about the old days but as far as all this present day drama goes I really am at a loss and don't honestly care. Nyr has never bothered me personally.
