Do you know anyone specific who left or stored over this system? Yes but I'm not going into more detail. I have to be vague. While I've left the game i have a few friends who still play. I don't want Nyr to fuck them. To my recollection, the system did not even go live into the game until the changes were made. So what exactly did they store over? 10 people? I never said, "Everyone who left did so over contracts being unrefuseable." I said his system was awful and he didn't give a damn about the discussion. People left because they knew he didn't give shit about what they had to say. What else should they do? Play his fucking awful system? In your earlier post you made it sound like this added murder to Tuluk. I didn't quote it because I didn't want you to feel like I was flaming you. Licensed theft and killing predate Nyr's system. I may as well get into it now. Nyr had 2 retarded problems with the old system. He didn't like clanned thieves/assassins. If you're a "good" person you may still do horrible things to strangers because someone you trust/love tells you to. Abusing others out of loyalty is a realistic motivation alternative to "Im playin a sociopath lol". He also didn't like reluctant indy thieves/assassins. The docs of the time repeatedly stressed getting caught was frowned upon. Why in the hell wouldn't an indy be reluctant to risk failure? Tuluki citizens are supposed to fear the social stigma of being bad at an art. So he replaced it. His new system antithetical to Tuluki culture. The new system eliminates loyalty; now no sane person would help you skill up. The new system eliminates reluctance; now only the suicidal would sign up. So who is left to participate as shadow artists? Disposable characters. Maybe you want to play in the system to try it? Best play a sociopath who enjoys being dominated. Except not in a sexual way. That way your character won't have drives to make him/her quit. Has this new system even impacted anyone yet? For better OR worse? To my knowledge, it is still in the very birthing stages. I don't know of anyone willingly participating in the new system. People playing Tulukis typically play them as Tulukis. The new system is anti-Tuluki. So how about indirect impact? A lot of people left Tuluk. What I've heard since my last post is the activity level is still incredibly low.

Welcome back to the game. Oh,you want to introduce someone to it? Well we're gonna rudely deny their character, tell them they can't use the name amos, and that an obvious typo 'doesn't make sense'. Log into my account. Create a character. Step away to do dishes, disconnect, and log back into a message saying I've been banned? Welcome back, nevermind. no complaining allowed

There have been 8 different pcs named Amos just in the years that the codebase let me do a back search on because I was curious myself if there was some point where there were just a shitload of people named Amos running around or if the joke was primarily an OOC thing. Oddly, there have been more Maliks than Amoses...Amosii? Sorry to hear you've been banned, by the way.

tbh I thought everyone had at least one Amos or Malik in their list of past characters.

My only guess about the guy's ban is that he introduced a friend to the game. Who played from his IP address, didnt like it. Then he himself logged in. The system recognized two accounts with different IPs and banned both automatically. A single request ticket might've removed both bans.

This same dude posted on the ask the staff forum on the GDB, I'm pretty sure after making this post. I hope he enjoys his perm ban when they see him posting here?

Depends on whether or not he talks to them, I guess. Theoretically, he didnt reveal any IC information, or anything of the kind. He just complained he got banned for no reason, possibly something that was done automatically, not by a person's hand. They're not going to like him and consider him capable of revealing IC info. But that easily describes at least a half of the playerbase, very optimistically speaking.

People don't get banned merely for posting here, or I'd have been banned months ago. I think he'll be fine from now on.

Well, I actually like the MUD and being able to hold on to my account, so yeah, I'm not going to post anything that's going to get me banned. I certainly don't think what I've said compares to the information Anaiah made public.
Also, Nyr already noticed I post on here, as Nantafiria@gmail.com is the email I use for arm/general gaming. That was months ago, so.. Yeah, I wager I'll manage just fine.

Post what Nyr sent you. Out of curiosity. I don't usually believe people who claim that Arms staff are being fair and level headed.
