I don't know what the intent was of those previous discussion. You asked, Qwerty, and so I did my best to disclose what I knew.
Part of the whole issue I've had before was that ... when there's conflict ... they WON'T be clear and concise and they WON'T have a discussion.
In general, I've always liked Shalooonsh. When he's "on" and running a story, it's generally a fun story. The problems I had were that I disagreed with his overboard response to something and then I got a boot on the neck hard. Repeatedly. And then punished for disagreeing later on.
I'm a pretty reasonable guy, usually. Even when I get bent out of shape, I calm back down pretty quickly and I'm willing to discuss things. My frustration point was finally broken when, after repeated attempts at the "proper" channels to resolve things, I got shut down and then later I was punished for not getting along with staff. Which, in my view, meant not just accepting blindly whatever the hell they wanted to do to me.

When he's "on" and running a story, it's generally a fun story. The problems I had were that I disagreed with his overboard response to something and then I got a boot on the neck hard. Repeatedly. And then punished for disagreeing later on. Yes, that's because he's a power-tripping asshole who uses his supposed skill at running stories to remain in his storyteller position. Being good at RP is not good enough of an excuse to remain a staff member. Everyone who plays the game is either good at RP or not, and a sort of natural selection filters out the people who are bad at roleplaying and aren't interested in learning more. But the average person attracted to an immersive roleplaying game is going to be a solid roleplayer. Many people who are good RPers learn to be good story-runners. So Shalooonsh doesn't stand out in that regard. A dozen other players could easily replace him, if they were interested in taking on the responsibilities of being a staff member. Except many players aren't interested: it's too much work, they don't want to peek behind the curtain, they don't want to have to deal with other players on an OOC level, or whatever else. These are all fine reasons. The only bad reason to become a staff member is to acquire power over the game. This has motivated several players to join the staff team, most notably Shalooonsh, who uses his power to stomp on people's necks and then revert back to running plots when his position as a staff member gets called into question. Shalooonsh is replaceable. The fact that staff don't replace him speaks volumes as to their intent. They see his occasional (but increasingly frequent) bouts of cruelty as a necessity for running the game.

He also talks a load of shit. Sometime last year when somebody was making throwaway dwarf chars to PK random people for lulz without even the pretense of RP, I informed staff that if they allowed the griefer's actions to stand (and thereby failed to discourage it in any way), I was quitting. Shalooonsh, to his credit, mailed me and offered me a sponsored Kadius role if I would stay. I figured why not, and we had a long talk about my opinion on the state of the game. He nodded and agreed with everything, promising that staff was preparing big things and all sorts of shit. I brought up the issue of the many alienated veterans and suggested that they do something to mend the rift in the community, and he swore that they were in fact about to make a statement and extend the hand. He assured me that a lot of stuff was going on in Kadius and I wouldn't just be left to my own devices, so I took the role.
Surprise surprise, the next three weeks were literal radio silence from the clan staff. Not so much as an introductory meet-and-greet animation from a family NPC or anything. For the better part of a month I didn't see the slightest hint that there actually was any clan staff. My character's supposed job was to tackle the economic losses of the Kadian argosy that fell off the Shield Wall, but apparently that just meant sitting in taverns and taking orders like any junior merchant. None of the aforementioned plans and olive branches ever materialized, either. He was just spewing whatever shit he thought would get me to take the role and stay around. Big promises and assurances, and then I was dumped into the game with a key to the estate and nothing whatsoever to work with, despite promises that I wouldn't just be yet another shirt salesman.
Amusingly, when I created the character and was getting set up, he and several other staff members showed up invisible to give me a big stern talk about posting here. Four different dudes needed to be there to scold me. All sorts of crap about "now, I don't read the shadowboards, but I'm told you posted there about the dwarf griefer and we really can't have that!" As a matter of fact, I have the log here. Some of you might find it amusing.
The guilt-tripping and patronizing really made it hard to believe that they gave a shit. Still, they let me into the role. Then they proceeded to utterly ignore me for a few weeks and I finally quit the game for real.

I would like to point out that the claim that this board is dedicated to hating armageddon and wants to tear it down is really very misleading.
This board is the game version of a Cleveland Brown football fanboard. Armchair coaching, generals, doctoring, etc is a widely indulged activity in a lot of parts of our life ranging from entertainment to politics to real wars. This is armchair staffing and is no more destructive or negative than all the Cowboy fans that want Garret fired.

Seidhr says, out of character: "So after you posted on the Discord and the GDB, you went a step further. It was brought to my attention that you went out to the so-called "shadow" boards and posted basically the same thing."
You say, out of character: "Well, I get what you're all saying, but the whole thing felt so shitty that I had to vent about it. And there was only one place where I wouldn't get moderated. My post was deleted everywhere else."
Seidhr says, out of character: "I guess the takeaway here from our perspective is that if you go over there and post, you're just contributing to the griefing those guys do, on a day to day basis. (These dudes who supposedly don't care about the game but obsess over it..."
Seidhr says, out of character: "...enough to have a dedicated board to hating on and attacking it)."
Rolling a dwarf to day 1 PK people with the retarded stats this broken ass game gives them: NOT GRIEFING
Talking about it in a place where they can't delete those posts: GRIEFING
Also, "these so called 'Shadow Boards'" is hilariously corny. It's like a line in a movie where the bad guy says the name of the movie.

I particularly liked the part where they deleted my posts everywhere, PMs to staff were met with a copy-paste of "help newbie," and then they're baffled that I decided to go here instead.
Some A+ conflict resolution. I'm sure they thoroughly punished that griefer by banning his throwaway account. That'll solve it.

I like the term "derp board" myself, since it reveals what staff really think of the people who post here: not that we're destructive, but we're stupid. Their "intelligence", by comparison, is what they use to justify their cruelty towards the players that remain at Armageddon and dare to raise their voice in criticism.

What a group of bullies. Seidhr gave a masterclass on "Running a Game: How not to do it". This is what happens when you bring on purple prose jinkers who treat the game like some sort of sacred black box. Years upon years of seeing this rhetoric, I have recognized its root: the dissociative and manipulative dance of a middle-management moron who does not have the drive nor the agency to actually fix the problems they are faced with. Instead of learning to code, they learn to shame and condition their playerbase in some sort of grand text-based Stanford Prison Experiment.

Here's more cringe from reddit. Perennial staff sycophant "forearmedlurker" engaging in a manipulative guilt-trip.

It's unfortunate (or fortunate, I guess) that this is probably fake.
Right after that post would be the best time to mic drop a snapshot showing dude to be a internet weirdo.

I don't really see the value to posting on reddit. I did cross post some of this to MSB but only because I know for a fact there are RPI transfers to MUSHes over there and someone else started an Armageddon promotion thread ages ago.
REDDIT/MUD community or whatever... RPIs are such small niches and RP muds are not much bigger. Armageddon MUD has shown they are fairly resistant to social pressures and apart from their primary playerbase shifting don't think public shaming will do much. It's not very effective at curtailing Shalnoosh either who can simple change his name if he ever left the game blah blah blah yada yada.
