Here's a little example of the love I've gotten as a player from my "staff sugar daddy" to warrant my supposed "shill" - (after having 3 karma already) Set karma to 2, Good roleplayer, bad player overall. Disruptive to clans, doesn't care much about anything but herself. No Muark. Thanks. Complaint received about her sharing OOC information. I've really liked her and think she RPs great. But her attitude toward staff gets worse
and worse. I blame IRCUses NPCs like the one in the vivadu temple to figure out people's guilds OOC. Despite the caliber of her emoting, this is a very difficult and thankless player to work with. I strongly advise not giving her special roles. Continually misuses hemote with giggles, chuckles, nods, etc.
This... doesn't reflect on you, the way think you're framing it to reflect on you.
It's as you say, though. People see, what they want to see.

You're right, it doesn't. It reflects on what they think about me. It was to show you that I have plenty of reasons, factual reasons, to think how I do regarding staff which negates your claim that I am some kind of Arm zealot. |

I can vouch for Shaleah not being a staff pet. She's respected as a great roleplayer. But so are a lot of people who are avoided by staff like a plague.

Fast forward almost SEVEN years and I still feel exactly the same way. I treat them with respect. They do not do so in return and that's why I've had enough. I've been sideways with the ultimate staff for 19yrs. |

I can vouch for Shaleah not being a staff pet. She's respected as a great roleplayer. But so are a lot of people who are avoided by staff like a plague. Aw how cute. trying to discredit me by singing me praises.   |

I guess one simple plot device for a Jal nobleperson would be to try to skim as much as possible off funds allocated to building and repairs by the city, even if it means the repairs are shoddy.

^ Jeshin has a point. Armageddon is more of a 'muh slice-of-life in the desert with skinny elf boys' simulator than anything, nowadays. Yep, it's just a mudsex/murder sandbox and not a RP mud anymore. Imms let the players drive the game and they drove it into the ditch. I'm forgetting something - fuck (4 @qwerty). |

There might be reasons why Jal is being opened. Some very world changing reasons. no. it finally was finished by whichever staffer was bored enough to complete the documentation and the estate. it's been worked on on and off for years now. This is the truth. Talia started working on opening Jal years ago, when she was still on staff. She got caught talking shit about multiple staff members and trying to backbite her way to an Administrator position. She got fired. Someone picked up the half-finished estate years later and got it open. Qwerty is very technically telling the truth in saying that there "might be world-changing reasons", but that "might" is doing a hell of a lot of work. |

There might be reasons why Jal is being opened. Some very world changing reasons. There is something to it that is not widely known. I think maybe two people figured it out in total. I've also pretty regularly said that I'm not staff. |

Being liked and respected on this board is not very high on my list of priorities  . I would like to think that 'guilt by association' concepts are left behind in high school for most people here. Barring some, a good chunk of people here are, admittedly, above average intelligence. Actually, most of Armageddon playerbase is. Dumb people rarely stick around enough to develop either hatred, or love. There are exceptions of course, but that is the case with everything. In short. Don't you worry, Shaleah. You wont get my cooties if I sit at the same table as you. |
