I'd point out that death by imm mob usually comes in the form of a critter with massive stats. When a stilt lizard lays down 50 pt hits, or you fight a 600hp ankheg or mekillot, there you go. There is at least one griefer who has been moving mobs around off and on for 5+ months. If you die to a critter out of "position", its probably a pc. Several of the mage subguilds make this process possible. Fair enough. I guess I just get paranoid when I get humanoid MOBs that don't aggro tracking me down, so I projected that onto out of place MOBs too. ... could a psionist shithead do that? That'd be too improbable to account for all of those, but possibly one of them in particular. |

The main cause for death by imm mob, is Imms being lazy and just maxing out a critter's Offense, and then having it fuck you up out of the blue. I have fought ten thousand gortoks in my life. I'm gonna cadge to when one of them does a grievous wound to me through horror shell plate. lol.
That said. I've never actually died to an imm mob cept once, and it was mostly X-D's fault. I was bodyguarding his krathi, and when we got jumped by a dozen mantis, he fled the fight, and then PUT UP A FIRE WALL BEHIND HIM. So after holding them off as long as I could, I turned and fled through his firewall, and then dropped dead at his feet.
All my most embarrassing deaths came from following X-D around.
X-D has had some characters where they were charismatic enough to make anyone follow him, but ruthless enough to throw you on a grenade to save his own life. Then you would instantly want to play with him again. He was so consistently awesome.
