I've just received automated emails from the MUD about my accounts. Let me make it clear; I have not been multiplaying.

Nyr, when he decided beforehand to fiat-kick me from the community, did not ban me; he scrambled my password. This was his way of kicking players out while having plausible deniability, and not having to answer to the staff's ban protocols. He did the exact same thing with Kuroyama, my friend.

When it was announced that Nyr was going "in hiatus", I decided that this gesture showed the game was moving in a positive direction, and I wanted to be part of it again. That was when I made a new account, Geongeong. After a week or so of Geongeong, I entered a discussion with staff that resulted with these outcomes: I could keep playing Geongeong until my current character died, where I could move back to my main account Asanadas; I would have my GDB handle Asanadas returned to me, with the explicit understanding I'd lose it again if I kept "trolling" (re: my shogun post). This happened at the end of November.

What's interesting to me is that it was Nergal who conducted the dialogue and made all that happen. He made me effectively not a "rogue" player. Here's the email from the request result:
So! That being said, there has obviously been a large shift in how Nergal views me, if he's gone from being reasonable here in this exchange, to today conferring with other staff members to change staff policy with the intentions of banning me specifically. Let me be clear; Nergal explicitly stated that [staff] are 'no longer' going to tolerate the likes of me -- an effective, new decision, and a direct contradiction of previous policy and Nergal's own previous actions at the end of November.

What's caused this change? They didn't tell me, and they probably won't tell me.

But back to the password scrambling part: after I was banned today, I received two automated emails two both of my accounts (Asanadas which was locked, and Geongeong which I played on) saying that my passwords had been reset.

I definitely didn't trigger a password reset on my banned accounts. What on Earth are they doing? My best guess is that they're trying to scramble my password so that I can no longer use the request tool. There is a slim chance that they're trying to hand me my account back... a very slim chance. 

You see, they have sight on the Ginka-side of the mailing daemon. If Nergal can take these automated password resets and use them to access my account, he can change the password further so that I'll never be able to access it again. Due to his curt, standoffish and insulting attitude towards people recently, I don't put it past him for doing so. Besides, Nyr used to do this exact same thing to stop people from submitting requests.

I'm not taking kindly to being treated like some sort of terrorist. If staff wanted to run me off, they've done it by showing how knee-jerk they are over me of all people. Excuse me for going for this conspiracy of sorts, but I've seen it happen in the past and I don't expect anything else than for the staff team to continue doing like the staff team has done.
