It's funny how certain anachronistic things will bleed into the game, sometimes just from association with a word. It's the same with elves; a lot of people have played 'rinth elves like stereotypical black people from the hood, a fad stemming largely from the fact that 'necker' sounds like 'necker' (and was used precisely that way by a lot of said elves, complete with gratuitous ebonics). I can totally see a Zalanthan terrorist organization called ALA inspiring bad players to play their characters like wildly anti-thematic muslim terrorists.
