I think the upset and problem being expressed here to begin with is that staff will only pursue assisting in things that work toward the ends they want, rather than doing what should be done, and acting to patch up the holes in the code and represent physics and game world on a coded level. It should not be impossible for someone who has the time, material, effort, authority, and roleplay to build a door, to get it done. But in the first example of the rinth bar, it doesn't matter, staff doesn't want it, so it doesn't get done, but in the new example, despite the fact that it doesn't take near as long without near as much time/energy/effort, it gets done, and without anyone having a chance to interrupt, or stop it, despite how unrealistic it is, because it serves the desired narrative. Yes, that's a very blatant example of favortism, whether it's favoring only what the narrative calls for succeeding or favoring actual players being totally aside from the point. As it was pointed out earlier, yes the example is not recent, but when several people here have been driven off by shenanigans (cue south park shenanigans .jpg complete with rakes and torches) or for posting here, they will not have the opportunity to give more recent examples. While you (collective you) can continue trying to decry it with asinine cries of 'u mad bro' and 'that was soooo long ago, get over it', the fact of the matter is, it doesn't change the fact that it happened, it doesn't change the precedent that it set, and it doesn't invalidate their experience just because 1 other person had a different one, if anything it only serves to underline the fact that staff can't be relied on to reliably work with players to represent the game world accurately but instead to represent it in a way that serves a forced narrative which fucks people over and lifts other people up on a meta level.

If you're mocking me, you're doing an awfully poor job, being as that's not what happened at all. And even if you're not, that doesn't invalidate the points I made.

YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND
Doors aren't just made... Doors in Zalanthas must be painstakingly crafted I.E. (copy/pasted in a item generator) Then you need latches? How the fuck are you going to get latches in a low metal desert world? Fucking raptors that how. Ya gotta fuck them first before they fuck you, because if they fuck you, you just get a raptor bone to the arse but if you fuck'em just right, you can skin as long as you pushed skinning above master and what comes out is what is called the fulcrum of drov, with that magical item you must then crawl across the sewers to the now de-linked basement of the conclave, spend two real months role playing, solo, making mating noises in that hallowed room.
Only then, is it appropriate to ask staff for a door and even then you need the 5th branch from every tree in the grey forest, while humping half-breed water witch while riding the Gypsies last known kank, and must deliever this wood directly, no stops, to the Folley with out losing 1 hp. Once than you can except a 6 month turn around for some one to get on staff who knows how to ctrl+c and Ctrl+v.
I wish you luck on this task. You don't always win on Armageddon, and don't forgot to wish up for a realistic response once you get to Tuluk balls deep in a water cleric breed... so um... staff can animate a realistic world response an hour late.

the problem i have with the whole thing is players and staff seem to see nothing wrong with just closing access to the Rinth. World-wse it's totally unrealistic. The Rinth is where the poor of Allanak live. or to put it another way, it's where most of the laborers who aren't slaves are stuck living. And if you pretend the docs mean anything it's where most of the business deals get struck to avoid taxes. The idea that you can shut it off indefinitely (with no penalties n the world) to deal with a problem caused by a dozen people is ridiculous.
If the Rnth serves no purpose then why the hell haven't the templarate exterminated its citizens and burnd it to the ground?
Since it does serve a purpose, how the hell can anyone just wall of sand/lock all the entrances and not inherit a world of shit? Closing off the Rinth should be the Allanak verson of forgetting to put a cover sheet on your tps rport. You should have no less than 8 bosses showng up immediately to make you feel like shit even when you were in the right.
Where's the Jal Lord screaming about what this is going to do to the price of salt in Ascendng Sun? Wheres the red robe templar asking who the fuck this blue robe thinks he is for impeding the Ministry of War's building efforts by locking half her builders in the Rinth? Where's the Ministry of Mind red robe demanding to know why half his spy network has been cut off so this asshole doesn't have to take 3 minutes to smite a penny-ante gang with the power of the Highlord? Wheres the Fale lord berating the pc about how this will do terrible harm to the house's on-going project to study the effects of spice on nobles?

Red robe is the one that placed the barricade.

Red robe is the one that placed the barricade. then replace "red robe" with "black robe", and "blue robe" with "red robe". And pc with "staff avatar complaining for the benefit of pc witnesses about the world of shit going on in his head right now from the rest of nobility/templarat" The point is this is far from the first time this happened. before they had a door on Hathor's they just used Wall of Sand. "they" included pcs

The rinth should be purged, then it becomes a smoldering wasteland that is dangerous but a valid smuggling route into Allanak. All the rinthi's should go to red storm and make it the pirate outpost it should have always been with NO LAWS!
