You're saying that proto is not required to provide evidence in his original post and that I'm acting entitled. I'm saying that he is required to provide evidence if he wants to be taken seriously in a discussion and cited the burden of proof and common sense in regards to logical reasoning.
If you had any type of education, you'd understand this. Proto is Ken Ham and you're a diehard creationist with no logical sense. Except Proto isn't Ken Ham because he admitted that he doesn't have logs and he wasn't 100% on his toes in terms of perception when he saw this mystical new race.
And then you seem stuck on this idea that I was 'slamming' Proto and claiming that this keyword 'NEW' was intended to be actual evidence. No, I was not slamming Proto and I didn't think the word new was supposed to be evidence. Learn to understand sarcasm, it'll help you go far on the internet. I am fully behind the idea that city elves / desert elves get merged into one ELF choice, for two powerful reasons already out there:
1. The source material has it as such.
2. City Elves are pretty unplayable. If you want the reasons why, go play a city elf.
If the immortals are afraid of rampaging running-desert city elf gank squads, make them 1 karma just like their desert counterparts. They have observably no problem with roaming half-giant desert gank squads - codedly more deadly, and with a larger gray-area of twinking. Why the double standard?
But as for the topic, the Byn isn't hiring elves due to (from what I have been OOCly told and also experienced on an account attempting to join) the IG Sergeant not wanting elves. Which is perfectly understandable as everyone has already said - city elves are shit with a fluff reason for not riding mounts, and a coded denial of the actual validation for that fluff reason (being able to run in the desert).
I suggest there be a motivated effort to kill off the Byn ranks, in an attempt to get them back to hiring whomever.

It's actually pretty damned game breaking if you're one of those people who can log in every hour on the hour all day long or even a few times a day. If you're one of those people that log in once a day, being in another clan really wouldn't hurt you. killed by a carru? Remember, after all of that sparring your pvp (vs humanoids) was probably pretty high, your pve (vs mammals, etc) was probably pretty low. You might've had better luck versus a kryl tbh. |

If their crew is big enough, they can afford to be picky since I think they have caps on how many PCs per Sergeant. All things being equal ICly and disregarding the coded issues. If someone has a choice of letting in only one person, an elf or a human, he's pick the human and tell the elf to fuck off. |

The Byn was a blast back in the day when there were three units and a Lieutenant.
I hear they had a second, more recent heydey when they had a Sergeant named Armali around.
I wouldn't be surprised if the staff has throttled the Byn and forced some of them north or so. The other clan staff would be getting envious.

Armali was sergeant for a long time and left a while ago. The staff have indeed forced a unit to operate up north.
