So rest assured you dont have to assure them we're not going to have any impact on Arm. the people playing it can't influence the staff to stop doing stupid bullshit, so why wold people who quit? If you think these forums have no impact on Arm you're dead wrong. Everybody fucking reads these forums man. Everybody. Sorry. i meant the direction of Arm. |

I'm tempted to say that Arm is greatly affected by these forums. This isn't just a bunch of angry players voicing discontent because their PCs didn't get their way. It's an actual community where I think more than just Arm players come to post. People from SoI come here, people from EoE come here. It's funny because every RPI actually draws players from all the other muds, there is only so much of a pool of RPI players out there. So you end up having multiple people play multiple RPIs.

That's why I clarified my meaning. you can affect a game by causing it's playerbase to leave for greener pastures. I was only speaking to staff policy and to treating the playerbase like an untrustworthy, captive audience and experimentation pool

To me it's not about getting the playerbase to leave. It's about creating a community that is represented by logic and reason and not pandering, group-think and the heavy handed tactics of staff running a game on the internet.
I would welcome an open critical discussion with staff at anytime about anything but I think they've made it very clear this is the exact opposite of what they want. Hence the existence of these forums.

For all my remarks about the staff as a whole (and Ive mentioned this before), there are plenty of staffers I've liked. Or was at least okay with. they just tend to get marginalized or driven off by the ego-maniacs, cheaters, and wannabe writers. it's been a while since Ive tossed that clarification out, so it seems a good time to mention it again.
Anyhow. Nyrs been "running" Nak for what? A month now? anyone out there notice any significant changes?

You guys want to see if this board is having an impact? Start a Don't Log in for Nyr day. Pick a popular day of the week and refuse to play the game then. Take a stand. It isn't as though not logging in on a certain day will out you. Maybe you had to "work late" that day. But boy oh boy would it make a statement if the who list was dramatically less during prime time on that one day. And if a date/time were announced here you can be certain the majority of the GDB is in the know about it too. Call it an anti-RPT. |

One day, all of us quit and send email to nyr that says 'man u r bad and i h8 u dude" u just got spaghetti'd nyr |
