What would that achieve? Grey Forest is too rich and wonderful to allow free and easy passage. So Thryzn would just end up being new Kryl. Much like Kryl replaced aggro halflings. Make them non aggro, problem solved. IIRC Thryzn, or at least some of them, aren't aggro. Maybe I was just lucky.

There's also the matter of that the Thryzn are where they are because your Sun King bound them there, soul deep. >.> That might be a wrench to throw in the plan. Though I doubt a player would typically get that particular info if they requested that change, but it's something to take into consideration.

I'm aware of that, but hey, this is 'geddon staff we're talking about here. I'm sure they could come up with a ridiculous excuse to free them. Perhaps another light battle between forces of good and evil.

The point isnt about them being aggro, or not. The point is that if they live near the southern borders of Grey Forest, that means Kryl are gone. Which means Grey Forest is free and safe for passage. It shouldnt be. All gold mines must have its own skeleton guardians. And Grey Forest is a gold mine.

Yeah. If I were handling things, I'd totally let players in there without worrying about that, but I'd keep a watch on who was doing what where and slowly rewrite the zone and adjust the goods that could be found/gotten based on what players were doing there. I'd let them mine the gold. I'd let them mine it dry. And then there would be no more gold there, as opposed to just enforcing it with aggro critters, but, that said, I definitely agree that so long as there's no plan to adjust said goldmine, it does make more sense for some hostile force to have the area canvassed, though it would make more sense if it was humanoids from one or more of the clans set up out there, aggro against unclanned folk and guarding the area so their employees could gather goods for said houses.

I think that was merely used as a figure of speech, wasn't it qwerty? If that's not the case I've been out a looooong time.

I was referring to the gold mine as a figure of speech for a shitload of valuable resources, which is what I thought qwerty was doing as well?

Crap sometimes I'm tempted to make up some realistic sounding pile of kankshit and post it here, then watch how it influences Zalanthas.

That's actually not a bad idea.
