Personally, I think sunslits should "remove" points in scan. Those things arent glasses. They obscure half of your vision in order to protect you from being totally blinded. But oh well . That's true, but they also block out the glare of sun, and help you see better in inclement weather. Also inuit had something like sunslits, and they actually -improve- visual acuity when they employ a long, narrow slit design. Though that is, admittedly, asking for realism when it could perhaps be weighed against game design and the physics of the game setting, which it may, admittedly, run counter to in some fashion I don't know about.

I think sunslits increase direction sense, not scan.

They do. I was simply saying that I think they should increase scan. It makes as much sense than direction sense.

Judging from their description I'd think sunslits would give a penalty to scan. Figuring out if this is true should be easy enough.

I think it mentions the resolve part when the ticket gets resolved. So you could've bugged something two years ago, if they fixed the bug today, your name would get mentioned on the list today.
At the same time. If you really want to play the game on the same account that you've got now. BE CAREFUL.

I -had- a magicker character with a lesbian lover in Allanak. Ages ago. It was the gemmed vivaduan that Harle was banging. And then, after I posted about the HRPT and lirathans, they even banned my alt 'yoursinsintome'. The bug list has no time on it as to how long something has been in the queue before it was resolved. As to how long I've been off staff, see the post here: gdb.armageddon.org/index.php/topic,31255.msg645349.html#msg645349 It was October of 2011. When I moved to Iowa to take care of my father. I applied twice to try and come back onto staff, and was rejected both times.

If anything's been bugged under my staff account, it's been two years ago or longer.

Anaiah,
Played the mud for nearly 20 years myself. Almost all of that was independent so I didn't have to put up with as much staff bullshit. Very rare was it I ever played in a clan. I played Dargan, who at one point spent a fair amount of time in the Sun Legions. Which, sadly, meant I had to be filing regular reports and dealing with being babysat by staff. Just thought I'd say...you were one of the only staffers it was actually a pleasure to deal with during that time. Just read over all our interactions upon discovering you're the real Anaiah. Thanks for that.
A question regarding Dargan: I had this character for FOUR real life years. Over the course of those four years, he was involved in an INSANE amount of shit. And when I finally stored him and moved on...I got my account notes and Dargan had...count them now...TWO...notes. Over four years. And both were potentially negative things relating to my playing from the same IP address as my wife, and another where my behavior was suspect in that I logged in and went to an area my wife's character was at, without using the way. When I mailed in my perfectly reasonable explanation, it went entirely ignored. That note was never removed from my account, nor edited to reflect my explanation. Did you see a lot of this? It's been my perception that staff was fantastic at immediately yelling at people, but didn't do a damn thing about praising them or altering any negative notes once given a reasonable explanation.

It's been my perception that staff was fantastic at immediately yelling at people, but didn't do a damn thing about praising them or altering any negative notes once given a reasonable explanation. I didn't tend to note anything on pinfo unless it was something that I wanted -any- staff member to know and see. Most of what I input went onto the IDB so that other clan staff could see it, or as staff notes/replies on character reports so that, again, clan staff could see it. In my experience, it was easier to do things that way so that if, say, I played with you and wasn't on your staff, but wanted to know if there was any information for your pc I should know immediately, I wouldn't find out a bunch of random stuff about your character, as in, it helped to create a better IC/OOC barrier for staff who aren't supposed to be knowing certain things about those their avatars interact with. Your account in general is lacking in notes, as are a lot of them, which is odd to me, compared to the high volume that some other accounts have. That said, yes, in general, staff have a bad habit of seeing things that are out of context and jumping to the worst conclusion at times. I myself have been guilty of this once or twice, and had a really bad interaction at one point with one of the Jihaens who was on, and apologized for it later. I would have loved to have had the liberty to promote Dar, but with him being a dwarf, it would've been almost unheard of without him being a slave member of the legions as so many of the half-giant npcs and other npcs are. He was the only thing keeping the legions alive at times, and I couldn't respect you more for all the times you hung in there when no one else was active in your clan. There wasn't any note to indicate there was an email sent/received about the trucking it to where your wife's pc was, but I can assure you that on both my own part, and Senga's, that never even came up in discussion. As to the IP sharing, that's actually a fairly common note, and while the wording or circumstance could cause it to read negatively, it is not something which reflects negatively on your account. I'm really sorry for the negative interactions you've had with other members of staff, I've had a large share of them myself, and I always tried to go out of my way to be polite and reasonable (and when possible give explanations) when things weren't going well or needed discussing, because that is how I wished others would have been with me (I got a negative account note for hooking up with the same long lived pc with 2 of my characters who were alive during their lifespan, and then another note where someone assumed I'd been speaking with Decameron OOC because of the course of action my gypsy Suki took after being impregnated by his pc). For most people who -are- open about who they are on here, I was around after they left, you're about the only one I can recognize immediately having worked with while I was a ST, and I'd just like to say: If you're no longer playing, Armageddon lost a really, really good player.

I can think of someone else who's played a gemmed magicker with a lesbian lover who died much more recently (like a week or two ago). But it wasn't played by me. It was played by someone I know, and got to watch the fooling around, and I even believe their lover was the same person who played Harle. That said, there's really no way to be sure, but if you look at my GDB account as staff, you'll see that I'm listed as a legend, which means former staff, no longer staff. And if you look at the posting history of my regular gdb account: amandagreathouse, you'll notice I haven't posted from it since the day that I said I was banned on here. Proof's in the pudding, eh? As to angry, it takes a lot more than someone trying to verify a rumor to make me angry. I'm a very even-handed person. No hard feelings here.
