This thread has a lot of things that's worth discussing, but for now regarding Delerak drinking the cool aide. I dunno, tbh on discord he seems to be playing the same role I do here. Posing concepts that majority of that community do not like. And he gets dog piled on a lot. To variable success. Sometimes I wonder if he's okey with that. I enjoy it, but I'm a weirdo.

Delerak is not drinking the kool-aide. He's posted some logs from other RPIs, I've read them, and his reasons for posting them. I'm of the opinion that he gets a bad rap no matter what he does. I disagree strongly with him reporting Arm to Wizards of the Coast, but like, that happened, I think it was, I don't know what it was, but it's not the right way to get revenge. That said, what little evidence I've seen is that he has some solid RP and plays a character to the bitter end, even when it's at the point no one would find enjoyable, which, was evident in his last log from whatever the fuck that awful game was, right before he stored, because nothing, ever, could be done without staff consent.
I do see that it's possible he's fallen in love again with Arm. Arm is an abusive boyfriend and it will ruin all your friendships and tell you "you'd be nothing without me." and, it would be wrong. Taking a break from that toxic community and forging bonds with, you know, actual people has taught me a lot and restored my faith in humanity... but despite all this, we all know that Arm has potential, in fact, that's why all of us are here. We're not here to just poopoo on the game, but to call out the aspects in need of improvement. What's sad is that, in order to give constructive criticism, there needs to be a board Arm staff can't stick their dick in, though they've certainly tried.

Also was it this thread or another? Who was talking shit about Kronibas? That motherfucker is an ex-Marine, ex-professor who does river-rafting tours and lives in a fucking tent in the mountains, pretty much the definition of badass. Fuck you if you talk shit about Kronibas.

its not newbie friendly or normie friendly, period. it's a niche genre grimdark low/mid fantasy textgame based on an old d&d setting that the general public has most likely never heard of due to no book releases or graphical videogame releases for decades, and which has slowly divested itself of various features of that old setting alienating it somewhat from the few aficionados that do remember that setting. tedious character application system significant lethality risk, requiring you to go back to thru the tedious character app system. please. im a 0 karma nonmagical nobody who is probably going to be eaten by wild animals why do you want me to type out a stupit backstory and detailed ass description every time significant roleplaying standards/expectations for usually low returns, low recognition, if any at all somewhat stressful air of paranoia and secrecy ingame - this is supposed to be my free time  air of paranoia and secrecy ingame makes it hard to learn about or discuss things through legit ingame channels, or even just meet buds difficulty of learning about and discussing things thru legit ingame channels makes it hard to participate in adventures or plots official newbie policy back when i played seemed to be "uhh pay several hundred coins to join the byn so more experienced players get to shout at you and expect you to type out several roleplay emotes of you digging out the latrines, figure things out from there lol" and i have played pk muds before and had some fun there. people killed me and took my stuff, it's fine, at least they had the decency not to expect me to emote back at them while they did it and go through the trouble of thinking up another character backstory and desc and wait on approval so they could do it again |
