My other thing is this, that staff have been far worse in the past, to such an extent this sort of thing appears tame... I guess it's sad that it's improvement, but really, better can be done. All that aknowleged, things are better than they have been, although it's important to tamp down problems to prevent a backslide into the kind of shit many of us have observed in the past. As I stated previously, I take issue in only one of the messages that was allegedly sent to the player in question, Shaloonsh never should have mentioned possible IC consequences for their OOC rejection of this potential avenue of opportunity. This is from the assumption that the player's screenshots are not faked, as a certain staff member claimed.
If the screenshots are NOT faked, then this casts a much darker shadow on staff as a whole, than Shaloonsh himself. If they're legit, then Shaloonsh done goofed, but not near as badly as the ones defending him.

There are and will be games that are better run than Armageddon. But they won't be Armageddon. People stay for the game, they leave for various reasons, but those that stay are in 2 verrrry distinct categories: favored and tolerant. They both love the game but only one can overlook bullshit. |

I don't think it's really warfare and ultimately, I don't have a dog in this race other than being annoyed you guys's drama keeps spilling over into the community at large once a quarter and making the rest of us look bad. I think I've said everything that needs to be done here and it's up to you guys to really police yourselves on this and send Jeshin a pair of new readers and a mouse with a functioning scroll wheel. Good luck with everything. what a dumb post from a dumb person. it's not our drama when people unaffiliated with these boards post their experiences with a mud on a subreddit dedicated to mudding. these boards aren't responsible for armageddon mud, its staff, or players. no one here has the capability nor interest in policing armageddon mud. i have no idea why he decided to grace us with his presence given that these boards weren't mentioned in the reddit post or the replying comments. Kaitrena doesn't have an account here. the active posters on this board aren't impartial third parties to validate her claims. great job, zeromus. you successfully yelled into the void and then stomped your feet when nothing happened. |

Absolutely. But games that are run better than Armageddon will always serve as an example that the game can have better management, if only staff cared enough to be better than they are. And people can only overlook so much bullshit. People will eventually weigh the cost of abandoning Armageddon vs. the benefit of joining a game that isn't Armageddon. Maybe the "favored" will stick around, but we have seen what the favored do when given power. People are leaving the game behind, slowly but steadily. Average logins/week is dropping, Armageddon has a generally poor reputation in the overarching MUD community and "all publicity is good publicity" doesn't really work in a niche community like that. On the opposite side of the favored Arm players, there are people in the MUD community who associate Armageddon with stories like these. I'm not going to make a prediction on when Armageddon will simply end. It will probably never actually, physically close. But it will continue to be outdone by other games and the community will continue to consider the game a laughingstock until it fixes itself up. |

As a member of the r/MUD subreddit Discord, I have no idea how he found this forum. But generally speaking, he and some other members in the community seem to be concerned about the general perception of MUDs. He is talking about pushing for delisting Armageddon from MUD sites, and publicizing such an effort, to pressure Armageddon into cleaning house as well as show the wider gaming community that the MUD community is addressing sexual harassment issues. And I hope he succeeds. Outside pressure is the only thing that gets Armageddon to change its absolute worst elements. And if it takes removing Armageddon from TMC and such then so be it. The staff can avoid that by getting rid of the shitheads on their staff team and posting a public apology for letting it happen in the first place, but instead they're content with using their position to lie to their playerbase and claim they "proved" Kaitrena is a liar, somehow. That said I don't think zeromus fully understands the role this forum has in Armageddon's overall history and why we exist. This shows pretty clearly in his attempts to group shadowboarders with typical Armageddon players. The groups have some similarities to be sure, but they're also completely different. |

Nor would anyone on staff or the GDB care that I did. I don't have any credibility with them.

Here's the last PM Shalooonsh sent me via discord on the day he banned me and I subsequently removed our supposed friendship off the table. Everything I typed that day was erased. Just that day, before that Iwas still there. Me too movements usually result with my own movement, "Yeah, and?"... and usually nobody has anything more than I made them feel slightly uncomfortable, this is not an unforgivable sin on my part.
