Looking at the code, it is a roll between 1 and 100 and it's compared to your skill, as well as a bonus for noticing certain things defined in the code. You always notice hemotes from people you're watching; there's no skill check there. However, your skill counts for half when trying to notice hemotes from people you're not watching, and only a fourth of your skill counts if you're watching someone that isn't the hemoter. So it's about half as likely as I predicted, but still not impossible, especially given an inundation of hemotes. Without knowing the reviewer's character's class and what their watch level started at, we don't really know what numbers we're working with. It's safe to conclude that what the reviewer wrote is a feasible experience, if an unlikely one.

It depends on the guild as well, gringoose. Some of the guilds start with slightly higher watch. Noticing 3 hemotes in a row is .. not easy though. I'm going to confirm the tugging thing in a few days when I can login properly. It wasn't 3 hemotes in a row, it was 3 hemotes scattered in a group of an unknown amount of hemotes. That's a big difference when you're talking about probability. Looking forward to hearing the results of your tugging tests. |

Folks who have been to a few events/busy taverns recently and who have maxed watch. How many hemotes do 'you' see?

If two people are hemoting sex shit at one another, back and forth, I'm sure there would be a lot of hemotes. Otherwise, I would see barely any hemotes, since most people who play Armageddon only use, like, three RP tools, and hemote isn't one of them. Sober up. |

When you're over your hangover, answer these simple questions: should players be hemoting sex scenes in public places where people who didn't consent to the emotes might see them? If not, then why is it currently allowed? Show the logs or GTFO. All these claims are honestly tiresome. Maybe they didn't log it? Well too bad then. If there's HEMOTES of mudsex flying all over the fucking place it shouldn't be that hard for someone to roll up a PC and log it happening and post it here as proof.
I've played very high watch PCs recently and have hung around taverns idling due to IRL circumstances and haven't seen anything remotely close to this happening so if we're using anecdotal experience there's mine for you.

About the raciest hemote I've ever seen is someone picking their nose or scratching their crotch.
Now granted I don't spend a lot of time in the Gaj, but it's not happening in Red Storm where I spend most my time.

i find it funny how the same people who will chime in and say "well i never saw anything like OP described soooo..." are the same kinds of people who will tell you that just because you don't see plots/activity/whatever going on doesn't mean it isn't happening. |

More than half of his post deals with Arm. The other MUDs are mentioned as more of a sidenote. This is a new reddit account, which just happened to be created on the same date as Quarty's 'review', and has only ever posted to /r/MUD. And just happens to stumble upon the same hemoting thirsty behaviour as Quarty. Nobody else on these boards, or on the game's discord can confirm ever seeing this behavior. He claims to have played for only a few hours, so he would have had novice watch the entire time, and it would have had to be a massive number of hemotes to pick up three. It's almost like someone has entirely too much time on their hands.  |

The idea is it is anecdotal if they don't post logs. Anecdotal evidence is not considered scientific evidence by any means so it has nothing to do with the plots/activity for me. I've never seen it and if I had I would say so. What bothers me about stupid shit like this is it detracts from other real problems the game has and should be working to correct/fix. |
