A review posted on Mudconnect on October 1 states the following: Will staff do anything about this problem or just drop it in the dust like a bad travel cake? Is Quarty the evil twin sibling of a poster here? Wildly speculate below.

The secret mudsex thing is a problem that's been mentioned in past reviews/replies to reviews, so I don't think that part is false. I find the argument part hard to believe though, since OOC arguments are extremely rare in Arm. I'm not saying it's impossible - a few players are famous for being OOCly combative in game - but it's highly unlikely to just happen to some random newbie.
Verifying the story will depend on how long ago it happened and whether it's still in the runlog. Ultimately though, I think it's a legitimate review based on the fact that some of the problems in this review have come up before.
Even if it were false, if staff wanted to prevent the problem from actually happening, literally all they have to do is not allow erotic scenes to take place in public rooms, like 100% of other normal MUDs. And if the review is true then staff have an easy path to prevent it from happening ever again.

Not saying Arm players don't behave exactly as the reviewer claimed.
Just... "Quarty"? Timing with discussions on the GBD and here? A MUD player trying out Arm, experiencing this once and going ape-shit enough to race off to write an outraged review just about it?
Fake.

Without a single shred of evidence or shame, I've decided to blame the GDB poster "kahuna"

a week from now we're going to be reading a review from someone named shiboonsh alleging he was harassed by other players over his choice in character penis size.

Another reviewer discusses the hemote issue, this time on r/MUD. Emphasis mine: www.reddit.com/r/MUD/comments/dezf1e/i_tried_a_few_rp_muds/So, I'm used to tabletop games with loose mechanics, but I enjoy computer games with harder mechanics. That's what first drew me to Armageddon, a game with a very unique setting and extensive player-facing documentation. It was a blast creating a new character. When my character was approved, I was welcomed to the game and given links to resources to review in case I needed extra help, which is a definite plus. However, when I logged in I did get lost for a bit, before finding my way to the main tavern of the city. There was a mix of PCs and NPCs there and I struck up a conversation with them. Then I saw a random pose that started with the words "You notice:" and was lewd in nature (won't get into more details than that). Being unsure what was happening, I ignored it as a fluke. I asked about joining the Byn, and during the time I waited for a Sergeant to recruit me into the mercenary group, I saw those "you notice" poses two more times, and decided it was probably best to bail for the night. I logged in the next day and had trouble establishing contact with the Sergeant psionically, and accidentally knocked myself out. When I woke up, I was missing my pack, and all of the coins I had left, which I assume was stolen while I was KOed because I got a message about a faint tug on my belongings while I was sleeping. My character was also very hungry and thirsty at that point, so I logged out to avoid dying, and unfortunately, didn't come back. I probably would have had more luck if I stuck around longer, but I only have time for casual play. Total time played was a few hours, so I want to stress my experience is probably not emblematic of what someone would experience here, but that's what happened to me. It's not the main focus of the review: the writer is talking about exploring a few different MUDs and it seems the last straw on Arm was getting robbed after knocking himself out with the Way. Still, interesting to see that it's cropping up as an issue.

The newly created characters "start" inside the tavern.
Also. Didnt they remove the 'tugging' echo? As in, I dont think you get the 'tugs onto you' message when your pack is removed while you're unconscious. Like more then half a year now at the very minimum.

Like more then half a year now at the very minimum. Newly-created start in the Hall of Kings, where they can go to a newbie zone or to a starter shop, then they go to the tavern. Either they removed the tugging echo and didn't log it in the release notes or they didn't remove the tugging echo at all. And even if they did, maybe a PC emoted the tug or a staff member did the echo manually. Either way, point to the code change where the tugging echo was removed.

Why can't a review just be legitimately someone disliking the game? The first time I played Armageddon I died to kryl while sleeping at a logging spot because I didn't know better. Newbies never have 'good' experiences on a game like Armageddon which is meant to be harsh and unforgiving. It takes a few throwaways and some motivation to keep trying to get a 'good run' it's like a roguelike in that regard.
