Heya. This would be an interesting experiment actually. So yeah. Play it. For better, or worse. And after your character bites it, post your experiences and observations here. Just try to survive for at least a little while, so you've got things to post .

Given the repeated tales of people who have posted here with negativity or criticism. Perhaps do not post your play experience here unless you are positive on the game. If you are negative but found some friends to play with and intend to still play, I'd stay mum personally.

That's why he should post "after" the character dies .

I'm failing to see how posting after a character has died will allow him to remain anonymous from repeated staff discrimination against people that post negatively or critically on this board. If he intends to make -another- character and play despite not thinking the game is the bees knees. You're staff or staff adjacent and have a habit of trying to weasel people into outing themselves in PMs and outright encouraging them to do so. It's kind of silly to think me or someone else wouldn't chime in with hey keep your privacy if you intend to play past your first experience.

Imagine enjoying a game that allows your character to murder kids, torture people, and have sex with 13-year-olds, and sticking your nose up at a "crude remark". lol. Maybe look inward before you start judging people for being uncivil towards incivility, samosforpresident . Faroukel, please don't post your experience here without weighing the likelihood of being identified by staff. There were times that staff used to keep a running list of shadowboard handles matched to likely player accounts. If you don't care about being identified by staff then go for it, post something. I'd love to hear about a positive play experience from someone playing Armageddon as advertised.

I've heard of players posting here being banned but I haven't experienced it. Then again.. I don't share IC info, haven't done that in a decade or more, I don't attack the game and staff mindlessly foaming at the mouth, I don't actively try to prevent new players from coming to the game. You reap what you sow.

Hey go figure you can't understand the difference between a game world, differentiating IC/OOC and then attacking someone on a forum. It is the internet though, I expect nothing less than trolling and shitposting from most people.

Not only boring, but stupid, too. At what point did I say there was no difference? The context of my remark is clear: if you can consume one form of media, your skin is thick enough to consume the other.

You reap what you sow. You are one person. There are plenty of reports on this forum of people who did not foam at the mouth against the game who were harassed by staff. Advocating for caution with a checkered history is not crying wolf from the hilltops it's advocating caution. In addition you're quoting me are you trying to tell me I am foaming at the mouth about the game or trying to prevent new players from playing there? If so maybe go read my post history a bit closer because I'm the wrong user on the board to be throwing that label on. EDIT - Just so I'm not completely deraily in my chime in after Qwerty... Jeshin's guide to playing Armageddon MUD CURRENTLY 1 - If you want a high population and more mainstream experience go to Nak. 2 - If you're interested in an indie experience go to Luir's via garrison or straightup OC tribal 3 - Ask questions, offer help, find a merchant... Armageddon has always operated under the cycle of you bring me the stuff, I turn the stuff into sid, you get gear, I get wealth. If you're not in a House with a set duty/cycle of activity you want to find merchants/crafters. You want to be like what do you need, offer it to them in abundance, reap the rewards of a symbiotic relationship. From there once your 'game cycle' is established you can branch out to RP goals like... Bang the aid, make friends with the tribal, become independantly wealthy, secretly work for the templar. The key to enjoying Armageddon is sustainable play cycle that gives you a clear path of activity everytime you login whether you have an RP partner or not.

It's like comparing someone who loves game of thrones with someone who calls other people a cunt. Do you really not see a difference?

Shaves doesn't foam at the mouth either. Not nearly as much as most other trolls here. But he conflicts with staff enough that when staff needs to come up with reasons why not give him karma, using these forums is one such reason. It's not enough to warrant for much by itself, but it beefs other more apt reasons. When it's really the only thing and everything else is regular, nobody cares.

@qwerty is actually right about something.
At best, staff take participation on the forum as part of a sum total of your worth as a player. If you're posting plot secrets, your social credit score goes down in the eyes of staff. Same with criticizing the game, I'm sure. (Just about all criticism is considered "unwarranted bashing" in the eyes of the staff though, and some of the OG staff like Nessalin don't care whether players like the game or not.)
At worst, like in the Nergal days, posting anything here """legitimized the shadowboards""" and you were banned until you deleted your account, then you were unbanned. There are a couple of occasional posters here who took the ban and didn't give into the demand to delete their shadow-account.
I honestly don't think it is like that in the post-Nergal Armageddon, but you never know when the producers will read Mein Kampf again and flip back to it.

It's just, I'm pretty sure most of regular users here are already known to staff. They are just waiting for people's attention to lull before they are all whacked in one single sweep.
