I finally got around to seeing this last week. I absolutely loved it, but with two exceptions:

1) Rey beating Kylo in the end was ridiculous. She grabs the lightsaber with the force while he's trying to, then she becomes better at fighting by concentrating a minute. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. It completely diminished Kylo as a threat to have all of his training trumped by someone who's only even known she could use the force for 2 hours. Unless JJ Abrams thinks he's directing DBZ, training still matters more than power levels.

They did a really good job early in the fight with Rey; her fighting was clearly clumsy. If they absolutely had to have her win, which I think was a mistake, they should have focused more on Kylo's choreography so that his movements showed more pain and fatigue from his injuries. It really would have helped to see them, too; maybe have parts of his black outfit damaged around the wounds so they stand out. Probably the best thing would have been to have Finn land a leg injury on Kylo instead of an arm injury. That would have evened the fight out more realistically without making Kylo seem like a scrub.

Personally I think that fight would have been a lot better if she'd been the one to get her ass saved by the earthquake. It would have set up a clear challenge for her to overcome with training. Instead, I'm just left wondering why she doesn't just wait a couple days until she's Yoda-level and go flatten the First Order with a whim.

2) A weapon that uses the mass of an entire star every time it fires is retarded, especially if it means somehow fitting the mass of a star within a planet. I have to assume JJ Abrams has never seen a scale drawing of our solar system. Physics aside, that is unquestionably terrible resource management.

dont you just love how people are too cowardly to say how they really feel due to cultural pressure and the wanting to belong and how it sort of molds and manipulates any of your own thoughts to the more mainstream paradigm and anyone outside that paradigm is weird and strange but in the end its those weird and strange outsiders who were courageous enough in the first place to pipe up end up running the frame sort of like trump for instance to give you a glimpse at real wisdom
