To be fair, the rule about posting IC information that could affect current in-game plots on OR could very possibly be a compromise Jeshin's made for my sake. I just don't like to see IC information or logs that have to do with current plots; it's one of the few rules that I'm a stickler about, and it's something that I (personally) don't want on OR. I don't have a problem with it here, because this isn't my forum and I can choose to not read that sort of stuff when it's posted. As Jazet said, there is a difference between posting as a player and posting as an admin, and sometimes different personal guidelines apply.

Until i changed my display name on this forum to my TRUE NAME. I can't help but notice your ban post came 19 minutes after these 2 in "Would arm be better off without Nyr?" So the takeaway is, not only does Nyr read these forums, he reacts badly to anyone trying to shut down a discussion he is the topic of. I suppose it's kind of like how children crave attention and don't care if it is negative or positive. |

Optional Realities is a community for text-based RPGs? Why do we call them Text-based RPGs and not RPIs or MUDs or MOOs or MUSHes? Because it's way easier to git Text-based RPGs on a banner and also way easier for people unfamiliar with the genre to understand from the title what it is. We focus on articles related to storytelling, design, or staff philosophy. The forum has various games which fit our definition of Text-based RPG and you can try them out and post your opinions about them without fear of moderation. We have slightly more rules than the Shadow board because we're maintaining a relationship with the games listed and contributing articles... Or we're a radical splinter group of the shadowboard bent on drawing all these games to a neutral meeting and poisoning their drinks.
