Technically freedom of speech doesn't cover illegal activities. That is why holding up a sign saying tell me where you buy drugs can lead to an officer arresting you. But sure okay, a greater degree of freedom and a lesser degree of moderation leads to better discussion on topics not related to illegal activities and other things that may fall in the not allowed on a free forum board.

There no freedom of speech on the internet, not even on this website. You're free to say things the owners of the website aren't going to censor you for, that's pretty much the extent of your "freedom". This goes for every website to varying degrees of severity, with a few out there that truly let anything go. For instance JCarter isn't even free to break the rules of whoever made this message-board system. He'd have to find a new forum provide, or host one of his own. But if someone was using one of their board as a illegal drug/porn trafficking exchange, I'm sure they'd close it down. (I say this not realy sure what sort of agreement JCarter has to sign to use these boards.) Edit: Not that this post is entirely on topic, but Jeshin was mentioning free speech. Nice contradiction. "There is no freedom of speech on the internet." "A few out there that truly let anything go." Well.. is there freedom of speech or not? Maybe in N. Korea they don't even have internet but we luckily have this awesome amendment to our constitution. And we definitely can say/criticize/insult whenever we want. |

What exactly is that malkeninthemiddle? Considering they've completely ignored this board for how long now? 2 years I think since I started posting here. Just curious how they are doing any relationship building or interpersonal communication when they ignore a place like this. It's so machiavellian (sp?), that it breeds dissent. They did that Ban amnesty a couple years ago. They at the very least seemed apologetic when people came down on them for how they handled Kronibas and said they were trying to change. Has anyone had any serious grievances within how staff handle people since Kronibas? I'd say, if no, that alone shows progress. I can't really remember how long ago Kron came here though, so maybe not long enough to give them any credit. |

Hm. I don't speak for the entirety of this board but there are by my rough estimate at least a dozen people here who don't play. They don't play not because they are tired of the game or have seen everything they don't play specifically because of staff. To me that's a problem with how staff handle people. @rgs

Complaints have a place, there's also a time and place for criticism and suggestions. There's also a time to move on. Each of us gets to decide when and where these places are, but being stuck in one place all the time is well... it's being stuck.

Freedom of speech, as define by the constitution in USA, does not apply to the internet. Some web sites allow you to to say whatever you want. Do I need to hire an interpreter over here so people don't take everything I say 100% literally without any interpretation of context or meaning? |

Okay, I was referring to the latter part of your first paragraph where you claimed they seemed apologetic when people came down on them. Yeah, sorry, I just missed all of that on account of being banned at the time.
