I recalled the post, but nothing about the specifics, and wanted to make sure I wasn't misremembering, but coming up with nothing due to weak gdb-fu.

This was obviously a joke. I've been to a circus before and I know how to identify jokes when I see them.

INQUIRING STONED MINDS WANT TO KNOW:
Is your account being automatically flagged?
Is there anything you can do about it?
Is "Merchant" the new "full sorcerer"?
All will be revealed in this scandalous interview.

Staff responded, couldn't just type yes or no but they responded. Evidently it was a joke at least that is the interpretation I took since there is no actual answer in the response.

"In seriousness, the shamim thing was a typo from a staffer, and the crafting thing did break." wtf is "the crafting thing"?

I don't know everything is gibberish except for the "In Seriousness" portion which is what I took to infer that it was a joke. But if I could have deciphered that post I wouldn't have asked the question in the first place.
Pro-tip to MUD staff of all games: When you have an ask the staff section or function in your game. Assume that the people asking the questions could not come to a satisfactory conclusion on their own and require a simplified and straight forward answer. Sometimes in the form of yes or no.
EDIT - This Nergal staffer gets it. Kudos to him.

You can't decipher that when a Staff member starts his next reply 10 minutes later with "In all seriousness," that it probably means that his previous answer wasn't serious at all?

"In all seriousness,...and the crafting thing did break." malken you're a pretty funny guy, i hear you do standup comedy irl, up there with guys like gabriel dangerfield, so maybe you can explain the fundamentals of "jokes" to me because apparently i have borat-level understanding of jokes. what part of "in all seriousness" and "the crafting thing did break" screams out to you that this is a ha-ha funny?
