Yeah something stronger than two uber psionicist sorcerers (and if it's anything like Dark Sun, probably dragons if they feel like it) showed up, because there were definitely echoes indicating an outside force screwing with them.
A new era of peace and prosperity under the avangion the Akei were creating? Nah.

I think that Gin of the Guild probably had a baby with Captain Hawk, and then they teleported back in time and used the combined forces of the Conclave and Hasan's magicker group to impregnate Quick, hence his swollen abdomen... So, the blinding flash was Quick giving birth, and it was tentacles of the Quick vagina which actually killed the black robes... In order to feed his void spawn that will one day return to Allanak to be the True, Real Highlord, a la' a mother eagle feeding its young.

I'm not sure how that stimulates meaningful and fun roleplay between players but I bet it's a lot of fun.

As long as you don't throw your bag of dicks around a bunch of miners, yeah, lots of fun

Shame the staff has always fallen back on the crutch of ultra high fantasy for RPTs. Aside from the copper wars was any RPT not about magick and zombies and end of the world crap?

Posts on the boards in nak says that the black robes fought each other, but both died in a fiery green light. Jade Templars FTW.
The city reels from a battle of epic and terrifying proportions. Though
the line betweens between rumor, speculation, and horror are blurred at
best, certain facts are undeniable. Tarith Kasix and Parduashin Rennik,
both Black Robes of the Highlord Tektolnes, waged war with one another in
the skies over Allanak. The outpouring of magickal energy rocked the city,
killing thousands of citizens. Flaming boulders, lightning storms, strange
creatures, and other sights yet more horrible devastated the city. Worst
still, and to the horror of all involved, the battle ended with not one but
both contenders falling from the sky. Some citizens claim to have seen the
bodies of the Black Robes bursting into green flame, right in the middle of
Caravan Road. What does this mean for the Highlord? What does this mean
for his people? What does the future hold for Allanak?
