Yep. I'm suggesting the feeling of the tablelands cover from Soh territory all the way up and over to ATV. Would be a lot of fun if everyone knew going to get those logs was going to be the same treatment as walking into the canyons to kill braxat. Expeditions with actual risk, without having to go up against mobs that have auto kill codes. In other words...risk from other PCs raiding/etc. that sounds like fun prob is that pvp is what the staff don't like and what the players don't want. plenty of examples in the 'tuluk is gettin gassed' thread both imms and players saying as much. tuluks getting gassed so the imms can focus on micromaging conflict in nak. hope you like pve eta: and by pvve I mean spiders oops i shoulda wrote FLYING spiders

I think if the storytelling were handled in a better way people would be more willing to overlook code deficiencies. This is one of the reasons people won't bag on sanvean as much as other producers. Shit was going on story wise. Have it so every level of staff has to do at least one plot a month. I know they'll say they don't want monster of the week, but come on that's what people want. Make things happen in those corners of the world that people don't go. Have surprises for people that have the map. Right on. Players *are* making stories, staff just doesn't give two shits about their stories. I used to make stories. So I'm saying more players might make their own stories if they believed their pursuits were worthwhile.

Holy cow, Bitter! I'm glad you linked your original post in another thread. I think you nailed the "Staff Activities" and "Permanent Clan" sections dead-on. I'd have a few quibbles about how to proceed with the brand-new PC ones, but in general I think we're on the same page.
Seriously, I've been wrangling over this:
pretty much since I started playing. If nothing else changed, that single line above would make all the difference in the world in terms of generating PC-v-PC conflict, enlivening the game-world, and rewarding effective, ambitious leadership.

Thank you. I had a good long while to think how to put it. If you have any more suggestions, feel free to post them. I also had another megapost on fixing Tuluk that's become particularly moot.
