Our development cycle as of this moment is aiming for 18 months which would put our launch sometime in 2016. We will have alpha and beta testing phases though that will be purely testing and letting people break as much shit as possible like MMOs do. They will be limited time as well.
But as I tell my development team. It will take as long as it takes, we're doing it right. No rush. No commitments until we have a product.

18 months does seem very likely for us, currently. The first real look into the game will come on May 5th, when we publish my article on immersive combat design on the Optional Realities blogsite.

Now that I'vbe enabled Javascript for your site and can read it, I have to admit, I'm feeling inspired. If I get around to making my MUD, I think I'll make a new category for it instead of using MUD, MUX, RPI or whatever. I'm thinking HDS (Horrific Death Simulator).
