You're using a "feelings" argument now that there's no legal holding for the water of the argument. I won't fault your feelings, but I'll argue them. If a minor wants to type lewd things to me over a dead game, let them! It's about as illegal as little boys screaming curses over Counterstrike.

There should probably be controls to prevent minors and adults graphically diddling each other... And no one is talking about suing anyone.
Comparing teabagging to graphic and sexual acts is dumb as hell, too.

I forgot the part where there were graphics in a text game. Unless you mean graphic as explicitly depicted... see my literature argument.
Come on, man, your thread title and OP are obviously blaring the threat of legal ramifications, criminal or civil style. Don't play that game of nobody suing nobody.

Would you have everyone that are about to mudsex send in a request to Nyr with a picture of a valid ID so that he can look if he has another valid ID of the player you're about to mudsex and then send back the approved requests a few days later giving you the ok to go ahead? When you realized that an adult was trying to sex up your character, did you send in an email to any Staff telling them so and that it made you uncomfortable? If not, how was Staff supposed to guess the age of that player? Should we just ban any minors from playing the game? Should we just ban anything remotely sexual? When does it become statutory rape? Should we be allowed to flirt in game? Should we ban all prostitutes even those who are just fading? Fading with a minor would still be considered sexual advances of sort, since the act COULD be argued to have been committed.. Holy shit, can you start seeing how ridiculous this is and how even more ridiculous it would be in a court of law? Nobody here agrees that sex with minors is OK. |
