Listen is way op, its like passive rape of my IC personal conversations. staff should put in a "approve" flag so I only have to role play with people with main descs at lest 14 sentences long. I don't have fukken time for some of these 8 line, 9 line assholes. They're terrible twinks anyways Well, everyone has to grind to play the role they want. Let people branch their listen only activating on longer descriptions. Listen . Snobbery .. Selective Deafness ... Elitism

as a veteran who has played for 20 years and shared with others on the easiest and most efficient way to branch skills, i think it's WAY too easy for players to max out listen. please make it harder and more obtuse, especially for new players, so that I can continue having an enormous advantage over them.

I'd just like to chime in and say that staff is doing an amazing job. Please remember that they're unpaid volunteers. I mean, really, UNPAID VOLUNTEERS. They're so fucking great, I'm so blessed to be part of this game. Say, I was wondering what it might take to get my third point of karma.
Oh, we're talking about the listen skill? I'm sure it's fine the way it is.

I am the lurker who is forced to post every once in a while if he ever wants spec apps approved, or a bump in karma.
I make some good points about how the game is fine how it is codewise, but point out that recent changes by staff are the actual problems with listen being op, or that favoritism and use of ooc knowledge by 'privileged' players can be attributed to the faults of the listen skill.
I'm already fed up with the game, but am offering actual, legitimate constructive criticism in the earnest hopes it will be heard because blind optimism.
If I'm not your friend you either flame me, passive-aggressively mock me, or ignore me, the latter of which is preferred.
I am banned forever because I reminded staff I exist.

I am a seasoned player who thinks he's perfectly average. I got to play frilly gypsies and triple elementalist mindbenders when the world was about to end, but it was no favoritism honest, it was all okay and normal and nothing special. I call people by their first names on the gdb whenever they can and make references to old plotlines and characters going all 'aww remember that?' but tell people to find out IC asshole when pressed about it. I then insist that doing such is totally viable goddammit you just need to ask the right person about why there is a third moon can't you tell duh.

or be banned. also love all my shitty doc and clan changes. they only happen because reasons. doesn't matter what you think, or how many of you think it. it's not like you're the only hundred or so people who play the game that would shut down without players, leaving me unable to sling my micropeen around or send pics of it to anyone.

Personally I believe deletion/closing down all out door areas along with the great Listen nerf. This is a RPI and simply there are too many players having fun out side of the gates. I Feel as if leaving the gates should perform a stat/skill check (which should never ever raise) that either results in survival with depleted thirst or instant death. This will hopefully resolve the current game breaking issue of there being so few people in taverns for my Merchant to interact with.
As well there should be a delay on every emote, roughly 15 to 30 seconds, so my flowery three line nod doesn't get spammed away by poor role players.
Also all new character are killed with in one day played if the fail to join a clan, this reduce the problematic indies who seem to always leave the room before I Can get out my says/talks/and emotes.

Further to the point Quit is quiet over powered, I feel is players can't at lest dedicate 4 hour stretches of pure Armageddon time, they have no business play. Staff and players should of to put up with your pesky biological needs, you can buy a mini-fridge and bed pan like us true role players.
This will prevent players from quiting out to avoid RP. You vaguely seem like the thief that stole my generic facewrap, and you will not escape the full wrath of the Byn who I paid 20 large for killing you in a 9 hour torture scene.

I just want to say that even though I'm clearly an alt, as I registered 8 years ago, and have 15 posts... that I agree with the poster who said something that literally everyone else disagrees with.
I know you guys don't get it, but there are reasons why X is Y. (Find out IC - doesn't matter that it was 150 years ago IC, surely a literate sponsored role can help!)

Tuluk is fine and there's a lot of RP going on. It's just in places you can't get into and we really don't do it when we're in places you can get into. I know it seems really elitist that only a select few people know what's really going on in Tuluk and the rest of the players are like WTF?!? But really playing in Tuluk is a lot of fun, once you get into it.

And if you can't get into it, you're just not a good player.

You should go play in Tuluk because it will make you a better roleplayer.
(It's sad that that's actually a quote from a staff member on the GDB)
