the fact that half-giants are all over the fucking place yet they should be rare. IE: HG soldiers outnumber humans significantly. PC half-giants right now are all over the place.

Eh, yeah, sometimes there're way too many half-giants on this mutha-fuckin' plane. But what're you going to do? Tell players not to play the character they want? Don't give 'em any ideas, cause I believe they'll do it!

no but the NPCs? controlled by the dungeon master. Half-giants are over populated everywhere not just in the player arena.

More half-giants have been added to reduce staff effort in squishing plots. If you're feeling the glass ceiling on the top of your head, send a request to staff so we can sit your character down. - Nyr

they are used a lot it seems. I mean shouldn't there be like 100 humans for every 1 HG? HG soldiers should be as rare as muls.

If only they had a weakness.

100 to one sounds about right, yes. The same goes for dwarves, but at least there are no dwarf soldier NPC's in Tuluk, despite the legion somehow hiring them.

If only they had a weakness. it's not really a 'weakness' when your gullible, low-intelligence supersoldiers are 100% loyal and react perfectly to the instructions you give them through the order command.

Maybe HG soldiers should get this feature:

The funny thing is that the HG soldiers the staff so frequently use are less efficient than dwarf or human soldiers. A warrior/assassin/ranger with high enough agility is basically immune to them even in groups as long as they have spiced up strength to assist with parries.

I'm more referring to the passive placement of HGs not the active use of them. For example the rinthi barricade if assaulted without pre-warning to staff wouldn't be THAT difficult to break for elves or high agility rinthi's presuming they have some form of combat grinding under their belt.

Kevin played a pc who murdered a chick in a poet's circle apartment in 2009. Staff animated the HG soldier that was in the hallway to come knock on the door while he was hacking up the body via RP and waiting on 'parts' to smuggle out. So he goes to the door with a basket full of actual meat, and bribes the HG with snacks and then straight carries the corpse right out past him without getting wanted. I thought it was hilarious.

Half giants go "Uh", shrug, and then do whatever you said to do. They are the equivalent of a Dark Sun computer that fails the Turing test.
