Just accept it. Allanak is getting Nyred, just like Tuluk did. I almost forgot Nyr is over Allanak. It all makes sense now.

so now that Nyr is paying attention to the rinth. Who wants to bet theyll destroy the Rinth to "shake up the game world"? I mean the whole mess was supposedly started by players, so that makes the remainng 80% of what the staff will inflict "playr driven"
right?
Anyhow, takin' all bets! Hey money money, put your shadow board bucks down he-ah. Payoff odds are-
Staff ruin the rinth - 1:1 Staff unlink the rinth - 1:3 Staff have a retarded RPT that causes this shit to happen - 1:10 The rinth is destroyed/depopulated - 1:50
This all goes away wthout fucking the rinth up - 5:1 Player results matter to the rpt - 10:1 Nyr doesnt stick his dick in the game - 1000:1

To rinthi staffers: thanks for being fucking retards and treating the best sphere in the game as your little playground to close off when the characters act out, among other things (giving it little to no attention, throwing shitty plots around, treating the players as second-rate, etc.)

in my experience when staff get involved in the Rinth they shit it up by having zombies, sorcerers, or supernatural junk because they haven't figured out people really like the rinth because it's a harsh, gritty, low-magick environment like arm is supposedly billed to be.
just leave the rinth alone. it doesn't need staff involvement, it polices itself.

You can go out through the sewers too. Pretty close if you have good climb.

It shouldn't take advanced knowledge to make an entire starting area of the game playable. How many do you figure ever discovered the westside blockade themselves as opposed to being shown or told OOC? Let alone some new exit that requires climbing. For almost all players who would otherwise play a 'rinth PC now and then, the place is garbage if you have to actually stay in the 'rinth at all times.
If you don't have a clanlead position, supernatural powers with which to extend your interaction beyond the place, or a pre-established network to rely on for roleplay, being confined to the 'rinth basically makes the place a pointless waste of time. You need access to the rest of the city in order to make contacts, buy equipment, get armor tailored etc. Leaving one secret climb-reliant exit, or the ridiculous journey through the sewers, is the same as completely blockading the place for 95% of players.
For staff to knowingly attempt to confine 'rinth players to the 'rinth is basically an attempt on their part to stop people playing in the 'rinth. It's a conscious effort to shut down that place and remove 'rinthers from the roleplaying environment. They would never do this elsewhere, you wouldn't catch staff suddenly trapping Stormers in RS, or confine all the Tuluk lower-class citizens to the warrens. Because there's fuck-all there and people will quit if that's all they have access to.
That's to say nothing of the in-character ramifications of such a move. Where do you send poor people if you quarantine the 'rinth? What about the scores of templars, nobles and merchants whose agendas are hindered by this? And how realistic is it even for the templarate to section off an entire quarter of the city because three dudes had a feud with three other dudes or whatever? Complete nonsense that utterly defies in-game realities, just like that northern spy plot and all the other bullshit they've pulled in recent times.

I agree with what you are saying, but its not really a realistic interpretation of what is happening. There are plenty of ways out of the rinth, it creates inter city conflicts, which keep us entertained, which allows for all the gripes expressed here to be expressed by those mentioned. However, if someone was a brand new player and pointed to the rinth they may quickly become overwhelmed. I wouldn't recommend the rinth to a brand new player personally, I think it is a more advanced starting area then some. I'm not personally that upset about, but I could see how it could prevent alot of playerbase from starting in/using the rinth. On the bright side it will probably be short lived.
