If you're going to apologize for anything, apologize for the whiff of staffpettery that clung to that whole Guild crew, but then again, that was during the Anything Goes Teh World Is ENDING era, so who cares even on that account.
Okay, now let's address the 3rd item:
3) We did not receive support from imms, contrary to the popular belief.I am going to count you the number of staff involvement in our dealings and its effect (positive or negative), starting from the beginning.
1)
(positive intention from Bhagharva) We were told to stop the blood feud by Bhagharva's avatar, and consequently gifted our first ghoul. Who was replaced after dying in a week or 2, by Nuvvi, who was replaced after suiciding due to boredom after 1 month. That was the end of the "next ghoul" period, but then again, our ghoul survived until the end
2)
(positive, again from Bhagharva) Gin vomited a heart, which was still beating. It was not his heart, but someone elses. Bhag animated his avatar and came over to tell me personally that it was not my heart. It was actually a magick held item that could cast the nilazi beginner spell that magically breaks your connection to the psionics, so you become immune to psionics... But I never used it, cause psionics were my strong suit after all.
By the way, I do not know why Bhag made this happen and gave me this item. We did not ask for this, we did not even do anything that would lend us this. This was so out of blue, I thought I was being mindfucked by another psionic
On the same instance, he also gifted me a Kruth Arcana deck, which is a regular kruth deck with 12 or so additional cards (no supernatural effect on the cards)
3)
(positive) Demon told Quick that he has to turn Nilazi or he is going back to the plane of Nilaz. A few weeks after that, the demon told Quick he will change and Quick had a sdesc and mdesc change as I mentioned earlier. Demon also told Quick after he changed that he is pregnant. We did not get to see the end of pregnant thing, probably Bhag gave up on that without telling us.
4)
(positive intention from Bhag, but negative effect on the game world) Bhag told us that the Dragon would return and the elementals are going to raid the prime material plane if we allow the gates of the elements to be opened. So, he literally handed us the quest to stop anyone from attempting to open the elemental gates.
This had severe consequences. This was way way way earlier than Shattered or the gemmed talking about the elemental planes. I will write a separate entry about our organized crime gang, but in short, we were aware of pretty much anything happening in the game by our information gathering crew.
So, when we were handed this quest, I already knew Council of Allanaki Mages (CAM) was getting close to open the elemental gates. We panicked, thinking that the quest will fail if we wait any longer. And we killed majority of the CAM on that very day. Those who ran or those who were not on at the time, attacked us later for revenge and we killed them too.
I also knew Allanaki templar Shiran had 2 books talking about the Dragon. We killed Shiran too. So, in 1 day, we stopped 2 major plotlines and removed several major players from the gameworld, all because Bhagharva told us to stop them. We stopped them the only way we knew, by killing the people who were the major players of the plot.
We received so much hate from the staff. Belenos in fact animated a red robe to attack me and sent me very angry emails. In fact, I should write next about assassination of CAM and Shiran because those got us the villain title and most of our infame spewed from there.
This was also the last time we got any positive involvement from the staff. After this point, staff only told us "No, do not do it".
5)
(neither positive, nor negative) We kept sending emails we wanted to talk to the demon. The demon was reanimated and Quick asked him to turn me into a vampire. Demon told us "No." That I was more powerful as a human.
6)
(Negative) Necomacus or whatever his name animated an Oashi Super Sorcerer noble, who told Gin not to kill Samos Rennik, another blue robed templar. This too is way early, just 2-3 weeks after Shiran's death.
7)
(Negative) Guild leader NPC came to the Folley and argued with Gin, for not being informed enough. Funny thing is, I sent not only weekly reports, but also any critical information about major plotlines and all the PK events to the staff when this happened.
8)
(Negative) Vanth removed all of the spell list of a vivaduan that we recruited, on the grounds that if she is serving us, vivadu does not help her. She was turned into a newbie burglar and when we asked what do we get in return of losing our loyal servant, the answer was a newbie burglar. Cause... We did not get anything else. She suicided after this.
9)
(Negative) Guild leader NPC told Gin not to kill Samos.
10)
(Negative) Guild leader NPC told Gin to kill the dragon thralls for Samos. The PC dragon thralls were Horoz the krathi and the elven sorcerer who was an ex Byn sergeant. I told them I do not want to do this, because Samos continuously tried to kill us. But the city of Allanak was in danger and the Guild leader said, living in that city is the primary goal for the Guild so I, had to be the fucking hero.
Yes, I was the one who killed both Horoz and that sorcerer. And I gave all the credit to Samos because of this.
In total, Samos tried to kill Gin and Quick about 5 times, that I remember. Somehow I think there were more attempts but it has been long enough, I could be forgetting some of them. Here are the ones I remember:
i) He hired Horoz, the gemmed krathi to kill them. He did not know this, but I already broke Horoz before he even talked to him. So, Horoz came to me all scared, saying he has a task to kill us. I sent him away and started planning to kill Samos before staff told me "No". This was a few months before Horoz turned into a dragon thrall and removed his gem.
ii) He hired the drovians to learn our patterns and our weak spots and hired another mage to act on it. I was emailed by staff not to kill Samos after this, instead, I could kill his "tools". Sorry drovians, I knew it was not your fault, but I was told to take my anger from you instead.
iii) He tried to get Aiyana, another blue robed templar to kill Gin, because she was in alliance. But I already had turned her against him before this event, so did not have problem.
iv) He laid a trap in the Salarri wagon and had Khortoc invite me over for a chat. I used to visit Khortoc from time to time, so this had a high chance of success. Of course, I could not kill Samos for this, cause the Guild leader NPCs were animated to tell me "No".
v) He hired a small group of the gemmed after he formed the CAM once more. He even trained them to kill us. But again, I had already turned those gemmed before, so while they agreed to the task, they immediately told me they will not raise a finger against me.
11)
(Negative) While chatting with Aiyana, a blue robed templar, Bhag's avatar told me to stay calm and opened a vortex to us. Nothing came out, nothing went in. Aiyana probably peed her pants but the vortex only lasted a few seconds. Then Bhag's avatar told me "thank you for staying calm" THE FUCK YOU MEANT DUDE?!! WHY DID YOU EVEN DO THIS??? You can imagine that I could not steer the conversation in the direction I wanted with Aiyana for quite sometime
12)
(Negative) Before the gith war, while both psionically and magickal invisibilities on, I was spotted by NPCs in Red Storm and permanently incriminated at that instant in Red Storm. I was already perma incriminated in Allanak and Tuluk since Shiran.
13)
(Negative) After the gith war, Gin returned to the Folley to kill a few eastsiders and Hork, the mul NPC of the Guild was animated by Adhira to tell Gin "Go. Leave the alleys".
EDITED TO ADD: By the way, I killed an elf during this time from outside the tavern in the eastside. I was actually in an alley, that is not visible from the tavern. So I could not see the man, nor could he see me. Adhira posted about this immediately in the IC boards of the rinth, giving my describtion (while I had a mdesc hiding head gear) that I killed him by looking at him.
14)
(Negative, also the killing blow that finished us) Staff started generating very negative echoes around us. PCs who talked to us would receive very scary echoes after they left us. If they were elementalists, they would lose some of their power. After this point, we were denied PC interaction and thus ended our career.
That is pretty much -ALL- of the staff love we received. Also from time to time, I would get response on the weekly reports. I would say I had a 10-20% return rate on the weekly reports.
I should also mention that while a lot of the Arm staff hated us, Guild staff did not allow them to directly punish us, in return, the Guild imms stopped us from killing Samos. This I understood from the staff emails back then, that Xygax or Necomacus told me that if I kill Samos, that will be equivalent to killing a Red Robe and thus there would be severe consequences. As a result, we had to let Samos live and he was free to plot to kill us.
Yes, we were named villain by all the NPC leaders around the world, but until we killed Kharad Tor, Imms were being subtle in trying to take us out.
After we killed Kharad, Adhira took over the Guild and showed the rest of the staff how the notorious PCs are handled.
EDIT: I forgot to mention another
negative staff involvement. After Horoz and the Ex Byner Sorcerer (btw, he was not powerful as a sorc, but he was a strong warrior), I killed another Dragon Thrall Sorcerer elf with Shattered. And after couple of days from this event, Shattered and I went to the plane of Ruk. We started getting echoes of the world starting to crack around me. Then a stone mekillot attacked me. I fled, and elementals started to converge onto me and attack me in the plane of ruk. I found my way out and after this event, Shattered started to lose her powers and eventually were killed and devoured by an elemental.
