gdb.armageddon.org/index.php/topic,48693.msg864385.html#new Some poor newbie has a problem with his account. For some reason it won't accept a lower-case 's' in his character generation. He has tried all manner of different computers, phones and clients to no avail. Prior to his ATS post, a menstruating fifteen year old girl apparently provided him with this gem of assistance: This really is the worst game staff I have ever witnessed in a lifetime of gaming. It's like they actively despise their players and are angered whenever something comes up that takes their valuable volunteer time.

Lower caSe S haS been removed to reduce Staff load and to further our egoS by forcing all people to refer to Staff as if were a GOD.
We'll make a gdb thread in which you can diScuSS thiS further to get all the whiny out of your SyStem.
HAIL STAFF!

Nyr actually answered the newbies question very reasonably.
The earlier responses may have left something to be desired, though, correct. If they are true.

Did he end each newb email with: Just the tip this time! Nyras for that "s" thing it sounds really suspicious. if he used multple machines it can't be a computer problm. I cant imagine how itd be a connection problem; that would fuck with "s" everywhere. All that leaves is someone creating something in arm's code to fuck with people but only using it on a random stranger (no), his mud client (doubtful), some mistake he made setting up an autoreplace in his MUD client (possible), or some part of what he's saying is dishonest (very likely).

the limber, long-bearded man
Long of arm and leg, the man before you would be tall and willowy for a human, though a hint of mixed blood can make it hard to tell if that indeed be the race of the fellow. Curly, dark brown hair on head and chin can be gleaned when not covered by attire. Left and right eye are not uniform in hue, one dark gray while the other can appear pale brown in bright light. Grim mouth and bent beak give the man a harrowed air, and many an old healed wound lend variation to the dark complexion of the bearer.

Quote from: DresanReally... it's not the fact that hoods/masks/etc don't hide your description that's fucking criminal types over... being able to see what you're looking at looks like is too overpowered and should be attached to a delay. Right. I remember how long it took me to look at the mirror, three straight minutes. Haunting. /sarcasm

I had to do a double take when I read this. "Really? Look? Is this some kind of a joke or someone trolling?" I thought.

Right. I remember how long it took me to look at the mirror, three straight minutes. Haunting. /sarcasm sure it sounds funny put that way but i like the idea of a person at least having a chance to notice and then act (ie walk away, turn around and 'hide', etc) when someone is peering at them long and hard enough to be able to capture the smaller more specific details that are reserved for their mdesc, esp when their clothing hides their sdesc id be fine with either mdesc hiding shit or look delays, but if its the 2nd maybe tacking on some sort of status toggle that would automatically have them try to avoid having themselves seen (in a more casual way than 'west' or 'hide') when someone makes a point of trying to eyeball them to hell. maybe a big bonus if sdesc is hidden and big penalty if it isnt, with watch and hideorsomestealthy skill influencing success/failure (with hidden sdesc clothing affecting it automatically and hideorsomestealthy skill coming into play when the status is toggled on) go chew some on that shit

They took out most mdesc hiding gear because it was deemed "unrealistic" from what I remember. The last mdesc-hiding item I saw was the wrap an old whiran of jhunter's stole from Plainsman.
