The warlady was Marie. She used to sit at Trader's, hunched over and idle for hours.

She would also do shit like rent several apartments at a time when there was a VERY limited number which had to be rented by a Nenyuk family member. On top of that, she wouldn't log on for ages and when she would she would be a pain in the ass about paying the months worth of rent on places she never used.

On top of that, she wouldn't log on for ages and when she would she would be a pain in the ass about paying the months worth of rent on places she never used. I had only one character interact with her at any length, but I was of the impression that much of her interest in the game was in personal relations. She had her moments, when we would sit around in her office gossiping, flirting or discussing this and that, but she seemed unusually quick to dispense with dealing with her underlings and reluctant to deal with the population of Allanak at large when there wasn't an immediate benefit to doing so. I won't say she was a poor character or that the player handled it improperly, but she didn't quite live up to her potential as a leader. When you consider the past Warlord who cast his shadow over all future Warlords and Ladies and turned Tor into a political monolith, she had very little chance of being remembered beyond her faults, no matter how she handled things.

I remember playing when Iakovites was around, but I don't remember running into him. Marie and Mallor are the only two other Tors who really stand out for me. Marie in a negative way. Mallor in a really positive way. He got a lot of shit done. He involved a lot of people in his plots and kept people active.

Yeah. I miss the crew that was the Red Fangs before they got taken out. Lazvr, Katresta, and I can't remember Daeth's real name, but the main red fang. See... they had a bunch of rogues sworn to them and thus in an uneasy alliance of servitude toward them. And they actually roamed the pah with the sun runners, too, and were allied with the gyspsies, one of whom eventually had the pc's kid with her, then took it to gypsy land, and got it - and an eye - stolen while trying to do a ritual of being cleansed from back luck at the elder's word, to the point he cut off his own body part... an ear, I think... and wound up using that and 1000 mon components (enchanted over two years) to summon a gypsy elemental, and instead of removing the curse removed the baby, and his eye. I miss all the tribals in the game from around then, elf and human alike. Even that damn elf in the sun runners who pushed her pregnant water gavram sister who'd been loosely tied with the tribe and Sky Alight, and just... all of it. Watching that one and Kat together cutting up was the strangest, because she never hung out with them, but after the tribe was disbanded, I went back and read about it. See, after they disbanded, I wound up on tribals/unclanned... I'm rambling and reminiscing. The wilds were so awesome a few years ago.
