I know this is on here somewhere but I don't know which thread it's in. Stab is different so far as the coded 'hidden' skills suggest, but different how? Why?

So in order to backstab, it has to be a 'You stab' echo when using the weapon? Otherwise, stab is, just, pierce for skill raise purposes?

Dey got dere own Offense skill though.
AN' dey alls gud fer skinnaz.
Dey tend ta be ligh' too.
I think stabbing weapons are the only ones that hit the back location too.

Not in normal combat, no.
Against helpless flagged people, yes.
Other weapons hit their respective crit locations against helpless flagged people.

I've noticed piercing weapons do take the killing blow on the back. Not just stab.
clubs seem to almost always hit the head for the killing blow.
Never used swords or axes enough to notice.. I assume neck or head?
