Kemen gives you a HP boost. Unsure about any other effects.

Kemen gives you a HP boost. Unsure about any other effects. Which one boosts the wisdom again then? I just remember having some silky grey spice -- maybe it was a thal-knot or two I had in Gowan's lockbox -- that was reportedly worth a shit load of money.

Methelinoc - dark, light-flecked spice boosts wisdom. MartenBroadCloak's list is pretty comprehensive though has listed it as an Intelligence boost! Kemen is the silky grey and absolutely ridiculously priced one, those thal-knots were probably worth tens of thousands

MartenBroadcloak will pay many sids to fill out the kemen section because MartenBroadcloak has never had a PC who was rich enough to buy it.

In my opinion, Spice and what it does is no real secret. It's not one of those secrets that if you do not know about it, you will only find out by dying. Nor is it one of those secrets that is so incredibly awesome and yet nobody talks about it. Nor is it some awesome hidden item that's hidden amidst the thousands of other similar looking items that arent at all that awesome. So hidden, that neither agents, nor imms, know that item exists.
Not knowing this stuff is pure laziness. Just buy a junior merchant a drink and sex them up. They'll give you a whole lecture. They want you to buy that shit. And stuff you cant afford, they want to tell you even more about it, just to show off how awesome they are, and how you're not.

Well apparently no one here has done this yet because no one seems to know the echos, scents and exact buffs for kemen. So we are all lazy. Clearly.

I think maybe an IRL year or two ago, Kurac had some event and they were selling Kemen pinches via the spice bar coded like. I didn't pay it much mind but wish I'd logged when my PC smoked some.

So? As far as I know, these boards are dedicated (amongst other things) to making information about the game accessible. As long as the topic stays on information about the game, not the players in the game, all subjects relating to how the game works belong up here. The stuff we talk about being "hidden" or not has nothing to do with anything. I should not need to sex someone up to get this information. Consider this: Even a character starting from Red Storm still will nor have any idea of what different spices do. He shouldn't need to talk to anyone about this, should not need to ask questions, yet he must. This is setting-relevant information, and as such, players should be able to refer to it, find it in those ridiculous help files Armageddon keeps. I don't think we are lazy for wanting a list instead of memorizing every detail of trial-and-error research, information gained while sexing and bar-room talk. I don't think we are lazy for wanting to get the information up here.

There are just only so many terrible mudsex sessions one man can stand for his information needs.
The busty, flawless, curvy-yet-still-skinny pornstar teen rides you like an inix, her kalans jiggling.
You think, feeling OOC all of a sudden, "...Yeah, I'm FTB'ing and just going to RedTube now then."

So hidden, that neither agents, nor imms, know that item exists. ... except for those two spices that only exist virtually. Like the spice that lets sapient species communicate with mantis over the Way. But yeah, except for those two spices there aren't any virtually unknown (even at the staff level) super hidden spices. If I ever find a power cord for my old external hard drive Ill be able to participate in this thread more.
Edit: A friend of mine has reminded me the mindtalk-with-mantis spice was "Cabalazine". IIRC the only time it existed in-game was during the period Kurac was ousted from Luir's by imm fiat in an attempt to reduce their playerbase. it's possible it wasn't always virtual. It was forgotten lore from the Long Long Ago back before the first time I started playing. I should probably go into Cabalazine more in the Secrets thread once I get my ext hard drive online again.
